what is a bootleg?
becuase i keep hearing about Queen bootlegs but i dont know what they are.
so anyone please tell me what they are and or do.

bootleg is an unofficial release of something done by a band. The most common type of bootlegging is when fans go to a concert and secretly tape the performance for personal use. Bootlegs are not released by the record label for which the band is signed to, and are usually done without the permission of the artist.
So do The Allman Brothers Band, Trey Anastasio (and Phish when they were still together), & The Dead (remaining members of The Grateful Dead..who also allowed it).
