Often times, bands release compilations that feature songs that weren't necessarily released as singles, but did fairly well in the rock charts (apparently, very different from the regular charts). What Queen songs weren't released as singles but charted in the rock charts? I recall reading somewhere that 'Get Down, Make Love' and 'Dragon Attack' performed very well in this regard, but, as we all know, weren't singles.
I ask because I like to make compilations for myself, as I find the official ones to be... mm, less than stellar, and want to make one based on their radio hits as opposed to their greatest singles.
It was definitely a mistake by Hollywood records not to release Innuendo, I dont know if that was the bands decision because in a radio interview transcript I read (the one where Brian says Hollywood will sue Vanilla Ice's white ass off) he says Innuendo will probably be the seciond single released. I think Headlong wasnt a great choice for a single if they wanted to release a rocker because the Hitman was a much harder rocking tune that wouldve been huge.
