Just wondering if it is true that Freddie wrote I'm going slightly mad while suffering from AIDS induced Dementia.
If so, it seems that not even the psychological problemes caused him a great deal of trouble in his later, AIDS stricken life.
Jim Hutton writes in his book, that it was Freddie and his friend Peter Straker just sitting in the kitchen at Garden Lodge, downing a couple of Vodkas and just having a laugh. A distraction from his everyday suffering with that bloody disease. Out of a conversation somehow a song evolved. Both were literally dying (no pun intended) laughing and the result was IGSM. A nice story indeed...

He was deaf, dumb and blind.
Pete Townshed wrote "Tommy" bout him.
But no-one seems to listen.
If Jim says so I certainly believe it. I always figured it was a mental state he sometimes found himself in when he thought of his disease. During a period of bad depression I did feel as if I was going mad...

What kind of warped mind thinks about this shit?
Let the guy rest in peace, listen to his music & don't obsess over his pain, suffering & indignities.
Ghouls.
we will never know the strange, talented ways of Freddie, for instance, why at the end of "one vision" dose it say "gimme fried chicken"? behind it all, he really knew what he was doing, and that people, is all that really matters
