I've always heard the basic stuff like WWRY and BoRap But one day my friend sent me a copy of 'Somebody to Love' and was floored. I probably listened to that song for an hour or two that night and plenty more times that week. I bought Greatest Video Hits 2 at Best Buy since it happaned to be on sale. I watched the video for "I Want to Break Free" and I knew that I had found pure gold. |

two songs... Innuendo and... Bohemian... The first thing i remeber from queen was an excerpt from bohemian rhapsody that was included in the opening credits for a cultural tv show... (the four faces singin the operatic part)... i didnt know who they were... i just saw the image and was awesome... totally new for me... i really became a fan when i listened Innuendo for the first time... I think that was the first song i heard from Queen... that song was so sacry for me... so complex... with that weird video... thatsong became my favorite song since that day and util this day im still waiting for sometrhing better... i think that is never gonna happen... |

I Want It All made it for me in summer of '89. I was totally blown away that they are actually the same band that does WWRY, WATC and AOBTD; songs I've heard millions of times in hockey matches. yes, I became a fan almost instantly, bought all the records, and waited for 16 years to see 'em live. Still love them and I Want It All is still one of my favs. |

Killer Queen, because back then Queen were just so different, when I heard Bo Rhap, I thought what the hell is THAT? The more I listened the more I liked it, and for me, Queen just stood out from the crowd, and in those days there were some seriously good bands around, as the fact that today they are all starting to follow suit and tour again proves. |

The Invisible Man because the video was so cool, i remember when i was about 3 or 4 years old i wanted to be Brian May because i thought he looked so cool at the bit with the guitar solo. And Freddies shades, Rogers jacket and Johns Cowboy hat were also very cool. |

My aunt bought GHII after Freddie's death when I was 8, and we got into this argument about Roger, cos there was a picture of him in the booklet dressed as a woman (IWTBF), and I just couldn't believe he was a man! LOL So Rog got me into Queen.. ;) And most of the songs on GHII, but especially Breakthru. And after listening to The Freddie Mercury Album later, I remember what an impact Freddie's voice had on me. |

I got the platinum collection (GH 1 2 and 3) a few years back and had it there for about 2 years before i actually bothered listening to it. I just got it cos i knew that Queen were one of the all-time great bands. Then one day i heard "These are the days of our lives" on the radio on a bus coming home, and i remembered seeing that name on the back of my Queen CD, so i went home put it on and i was amazed it was their song cos i loved it so much. So then i just left it playing and got into the rest of GH3. and it was only after that that i gave GH1 and 2 a proper listen (apart from BR, WWRY and WATC) so it was kinda in reverse for me. I'm so grateful that i finally got into them cos if i had of put it off much longer, i still wouldnt have known how great they were and i probably would have missed the new tour. phew |

Death on two legs When I was young I heard my cousin was saying to my dad that Brian May's guitar sound like chicken or cock on that track, so I checked it out because I was curious and thought he was right. In the intro Brian's high licks sounded really similar to cockadoodledoo sometimes (in my opinion back then) :D From that moment I became a fan of Queen and only listened to the ANATO, ADATR and SHA LP's |

Somebody To Love - I Remember watching tv and i flicked channels and the tribute concert was on when it was broadcast on easter '92, and i thought that song was just simply the best, then i sort of forgot about it after a while, then in 2002 i heard it at a mates place and he told me it was on greatest hits 3 so i went to the shops to look 4 it but i only saw the platinum collection $40 was definetly worth it i took it home and saw that they had the original on gh1 so i heard that it completly blew me away the complexity of that song and all the multitracked harmonies were just enchanting which is y its my favourite queen song and i love playing it on drums Long Live Queen!! |
