Bob Geldof bevestigt nieuwe Live Aid
i would of been interesting to see..

They would not be invited anyway. They would be totally outclassed by U2 and Rodgers would forget the lyrics to his own and Queen songs. Plus he would complain too many people are smoking and ruining his angelic voice.
they would have to be queer not to invite Queen to the gig, cos thats probably one reason why eveyrone attendeds these huge gigs, like 46664, Will Smith said "this is the moment we have all been waiting for", everyone will be expecting Quen to "STEAL" the show for the second time in a row! lol!

Come off it Taylorgaga the 46664 concerts were mainly local artists with a few International acts thrown in. I didn't see Clapton, U2, Rolling Stones, Bowie, REM, Coldplay etc breaking a leg trying to play these 46664 gigs Considering U2 are massive again and playing better than they have for many years are you seriously suggesting Brian/Roger & Paul could outperform them ? NO WAY.
live aid is also happening in philadelphia again and im sure as usual you brits will have a better show and a better crowd then we do here.Grrrrr!.also,can someone post tix sales so far for hyde park Q-Pr andREM the following day.I wonder who is selling more?
'We will be in Lisbon, playing a nice football stadium, and as far as I know, will therefore not be able to participate in Live 8.
We will be there in spirit !
Bri'
Not to sound too hopeful....but if at the original Live Aid, Phil Collins could perform at BOTH London's Wembley AND Philadelphia's JFK in the USA on the SAME day via the Concord....which I am sure was exhausting and difficult, especially with Jet lag, time constraints to the absolute bare second literally,, etc.....
...then Queen+Paul Rodgers could easily play Lisbon and jump a plane or a chopper to play Live 8.
If Queen+Paul Rodgers REALLY wanted to play Live 8, and this is a MUCH higher profile Internationally televised once in a lifetime gig with international superstars, media, press, ...and both The Pope and Dahli Lama are invited...I think they should consider the benefits/boost to their career/music....
Also...in this part of Brian's quote, "we will be playing a nice football stadium", and as far as I know, will therefore not be able to participate in Live 8." I think he sounds terribly sarcastic in the "we will be playing a nice football stadium" part....then goes on to say so Quen won't be able to participate at Live 8. Sounds like a cheefky dig to me. Why....excuse me but isn't Live 8 supposed to be at Hyde Park...where Queen is performing at on July 8th. It just sounds like a sour grape saracstic dig to me....like he will enjoy playing at a nicer venue than what live 8 has to offer, but that's just my opinion.
