Let's e-mail Brian and ask him to include UP on upcoming DVD...

Well, as we all know, the song "Under Pressure" may NOT be included on the upcoming DVD of the one Queen + Paul Rodgers show that was filmed (Sheffield, is it?). I personally don't think this should be done, as this rather defeats the purpose of a concert DVD/CD. I think we should e-mail Brian and politely ask him to include UP on the DVD (or protest his decision, either way). If you're with me on the idea, here is his public e-mail address: brians.soapbox@clara.co.uk |

Good idea, but you might want to consolidate one giant list of names instead of sending a zillion individual emails to the sainted soul who manages his mailbox . . . Cheers! --------------------------- You ready, Freddie? |

Dragon Attack should be included too... and Breakthru..and... C´mon guys and gals... be happy with what you may get or not! ;-) |

If they don´t want to put under pressure it´s because its not good enough. Let´s guive some credit to the guys. Maybe they´ll put it on bonus disc as part of the summer tour. Really, since the day i saw them playing Innuendo at the tribute that i think sometimes it´s better not to include the song at all ( as they did). Take care |

Yes, preferably from Manchester and with the Kay/McGuinness intro ;-) |

I don't know what you're talking about, this is not a request for songs that they should've played, but just a request to get a full gig on DVD with UP, so READ FIRST BEFORE YOU POST SOMETHING. You've got my vote Inu;) |

Let's e-mail Brian and ask him to include UP on upcoming DVD... Yeah... as if that is going to make a difference! It's quite ironic cosidering the title of the thread, but, Brian (quite correctly IMO) does not yield to such demands. Infact, it is more likely to make him more stubborn. |

I think it would be better, in MY personal opinion, to have more personal letters sent to Brian, because a single petition-like e-mail wouldn't hardly put any pressure (ha! pun) on Brian or his team. Besides, I don't think they would take serious any letters from me, since my e-mail is signed "inuyasha" :P |

Q: So how do we get Inu-Liger on a bus? A: We Poke-him-on !!!! I win!!!! |

John thats your best ever joke! I'm running the risk of almost agreeing with Dark. A simple polite request wouldn't do any harm though. i wonder why he said it may not be on the dvd? Although everone individually emailing / spamming his inbox would rightly piss him (or Jen) off |

We are not the ones the decide or ask songs for the dvd. THEY are the ARTISTS and it's up to them to decide which songs they want for the dvd. |

"We are not the ones the decide or ask songs for the dvd. THEY are the ARTISTS and it's up to them to decide which songs they want for the dvd..." Couldn´t have said it any better than this ! Take it or leave it... |

I'll take it! Any new cd/dvd from them is superb... |

UP is not going to be on the DVD according to Brian. Song is also not avaliable in downloads... How the hell do they want to stop bootlegers? |
| Hitman 31.05.2005 07:36 |
NO...they are professionists of music and they have the right to put what they want on dvds...asking for putting under pressure would be only annoying... When you are working on a project and ten thousand people tell you how to do it in a different way 'cos it would be better you easily go mad with them. be happy people, there's live at wembley 86 to hear UP for example :) |

What a bunch of whingers! I'm grateful for any official release from this tour! They can release anything they like..there will be a demand for it. UP was rarely played on this tour so it was probably not as polished as it could be. Even Brian said that a bad version was better than not playing it at all!! Brian will not change his mind even if the fans are screaming at him. He's a professional musician and if he feels that UP is not up to scratch they won't release it. That's my opinion anyway. Remember, the song list suggestions on the Paul Rodgers web site? How many fans can honestly say that half their requests were played even considered? This release will be heavily looked at by the band and any "technical difficulties" edited out for sure. They may not release a "warts and all" complete DVD or CD as "clicks" in between tracks were not made available as official downloads. According to Richard the webmaster, there is a compilation CD, CD of Sheffield and an official DVD. What more can anyone ask for! A compilation CD is an excellent idea...depending on how many tracks they release should be cheaper than the official downloads at 0.99 pence each! If you want complete concerts, get boots as you say and lose quality. I've got 4 from the tour which is enough for me! Roll on September 13 which is the rumoured release date!! |

I'd just send a polite email telling him how much you enjoyed it and thank him for playing it for the fans. Don't mention anything about putting it on the DVD. Maybe if he gets enough of those polite emails from the people that attended the concert and enjoyed UP so much, he might consider putting it on there? I dunno but I do know he appreciates any kind comments about their hard work. |

Queen Tour DVD release set for SeptemberThe release date of September 13 has been rumoured. Sources indicate that there will be a live compilation CD, as well as a CD of the Sheffield Concert. The DVD will feature backstage, rehearsal + interview footage as well as the full concert at Sheffield. Submitted by: Richard OrchardRichard says the FULL concert will be released, that means with UP... |
