Brian has said that the official downloads may now appear on CD (see his soapbox link ) . What I would like to know his how you lot who bought these tracks feel, knowing that they could now be bought in CD format? Would you feel annoyed at having to splash more cash or what?
I will be anoyed if the same tracks are going to b ethere. I won't be if they release different ones, from different shows (remember that some shows are missing i.e. Budapest or Milan)
PS
There's another thread in TOUR section already... Or even two of them...

Sorry I never noticed those threads

The way I read it, he was talking of the Official dl's as he said that Mac users had no access to them.
Well, since they haven't said whether or not they're coming to the U.S., I bought enough tracks to fill 2 CDs. The $$ is supposed to be going to the MPT, so, if an "official" CD were to be released, providing the money from sales for the release also went to the charity, I'd get one.

Quote Brian May:
Yes, I know about this problem, and it pisses me off too!! We did realize some way into the tour that Mac users weren't getting access, but we were all too busy out there to get into it. I intend to get into it now !!
Apologies !
I think we will make this stuff available on CD soon anyway .... so there is hope !
End quote.
Notice the last sentence. It does not really connect with the first. In the first he says that he is aware there was a problem with the downloads for mac users. In the third, he says that "this stuff" will hopefully be available on cd soon. He's not neccesarily talking about the specific live downloads.
Somewhere else (sorry, can't find it right now), he also said there would be a dvd AND a cd from the Sheffield gig. I just put two and two together.
also on qol there is a thread about this very topic, where many angry punters complain about the same thing.
I know Queen Productions do some silly things at times (the live downloads was one of them if you ask me) but it would be much more than silly to go and release the exact same songs for a tenner on cd. That would piss a LOT of people off. Whereas if they release the Sheffield show, they have nothing to complain about. (Which is why there are no Sheffield tracks in the live downloads.)
One has to expect these types of things to happen- just as an artists album usually gets a re-release with bonus disc just as they're about to tour. Of course, it's a little elitist to simply have the attitude that songs available for download simply CAN'T be released on CD because it's JUST NOT FAIR. "Fair" to me would be for ALL fans of Queen to be able to access their music in any way, shape or form- 'cos, believe it or not, not everyone has access to a computer. And besides, you don't HAVE to re- buy them now, do you?

No. The sensible among us just wont buy the CD if it's full of tracks we've got. I've only bought 3 tracks and the CD will consist of more than 3 tracks I'm sure. But whenever you get a DVD and CD release from the same tour (like Wembley and Live Magic) I always get the DVD. It's just better.
