Hello, I have a question... I hope someone here can tell me the answer... I downloaded "Is This The World We Created?" from Live Aid '85... and it seems there was an incident in the middle of the song... does anybody know what really happened?
Feedback. Horrible, horrible feedback; on the DVD you can even see Freddie and Brian (who seems pissed off about that) look to their left as if to ask, "Yo, what the fuck."

Really?
I didn't think they were able to hear that.
If they could, they did an amazing job of ignoring it. Good for them.
I'm glad we have the DVD with the clean audio!
I think it went squealing through their monitors, just like when Brian started his solo on 'Crazy Little Thing', which you can hear on the DVD. Well, parts of it, at least.
They used this song as a bridge for the big finalle! If you listen carefully the crew are trying to rearange the stage for Paul McCartney and all the artists of the day, so they asked Brian and Freddie to play that number. It´s the same as 46664 of Nelson Mandela. Between the Rock numbers they would fill with acoustic ones, so they could prepare the stage for the next act.
TAke care
somebody said something like
'so you still can't hear anything on the radio mikes dave'
plus much rustling and other unpleasant sounds

If you buy the DVD everything is in order.

well not exactly, cos i watched it not so long ago and i caught during CLTCL the feedback! long loud squeek! considering i had it on surround sound too, but you hear it loud and clear!
ITTWWC is absolutly fine though, except for when Brian is tuning his guitar you can here a little feedback when they look and its like "wot the fuck are you guys doin?"
