Brian commented on the downloads not being available for MAC-users (in his soapbox) and ends his comments with:
"I think we will make this stuff available on CD soon anyway .... so there is hope ! "
WHAT??????????
So that means, that I've downloaded a lot of tracks, burned them on a bought purple ugly CD, spending over 20-30 pounds in total ... and than the same stuff is released on an album?
You gotta be kidding me!!!!
p.s.: Great that Q/PR are going to offer a discount to the people at the "Wembley Gig for Hyde Park, but that's something for anohter tread
Maybe Brian was refering to the release of the Sheffield Concert on DVD and maybe CD in September.
If so he should clarify it quickly...
He has opened a whole can of worms with his comment........
I too would be really annoyed if they released the download tracks on a proper CD as I have bought all of them so far and the CD-R's.
If he is refering to Sheffield I am okay with that as I always suspected that one of the concerts would be put out in DVD/CD format, and will be one of the first in the queue to get it.
By reading the Bri's comment I would say they will offer a official CD (which you could buy anyway) and select tracks you want on it (so, you are skipping download/burning part). However, that would make CDs be rather very expensive, but still I would hope they would finally include booklet with tour pics inside (or perhaps they will offer this to be downloaded from iTunes?). I don't think they will be releasing CD with all downloads because then users who did download already would feel like they gave big money ahead for "nothing". One CD/DVD will be released, but that one is not replacement to these downloads so I guess a possibility to select tracks (being burned to official CD) will be offered next.
The impression you get from the latest news item is that they will release a DVD/CD "package" of the Sheffield gig....I know this doesnt fit with the standard Queen procedure of DVD and CD separately, but that item suggests it will be one whole package, so you can get the CD and DVD together......
I think this would make sense, as its essentially only gonna be the diehards plus some people wanting a memory that will buy a Queen+ Paul Rodgers alum and dvd, as the general public probably wont get past the no freddie thing.....
I hope its this way anyway.
-There will be no downloads taken from the Sheffield show as the audio and footage will be used for a forthcoming CD and DVD package celebrating the Queen + Paul Rodgers European Tour.

Really for me I don't care...having the songs early was worth it for me....I love going on to the web and getting 2-4 new songs....but it would be even cooler if the CD had songs from different venues so I get even more top quality stuff.....The more the better!!
