Here's my effort at Breakthru:- link It's a sort of hybrid of the 12" mix and the album version, with a bit of EQ tweaking, done with Sony Soundforge. Hope you like it! |
jackie 15.05.2005 02:17 |
Very very good remix!!!!! Nearly single release quality! You´ve got magic hands! My favourite is the Miracle album, so now i´m waiting for the extended version of "The Miracle" and an remix of "Invisible Man" from you ;-) |
syncursor 15.05.2005 02:42 |
I enjoyed this remix more than the 12" version. You used a lot less of the sequences with the annoying effects and concentrated more on the song itself. Very good job. |
Lord Fickle 15.05.2005 04:17 |
Thanks guys! You've prompted me to post my Invisible Man and A Kind Of Magic remixes! :) |

jackie wrote: Very very good remix!!!!! Nearly single release quality!Hi Jackie, When you say "nearly" single release quality, what do you think might have put the icing on the cake? The hardest, most fiddly part was trying to get the EQ the same all the way through, as the 12" sounds so different to the album version. It's good to know what people think - thanks! :) |
jackie 15.05.2005 09:26 |
I meant nearly, because it isn´t an official release ! But it´s got the quality of an original! You did the crossing points very good! A remix is shit if you hear the the changes between the versions you used. But you managed to get the sound quality on one level! For example: At the end of the "Invincible Hope" remix of Inu-Liger you can hear the changing sound quality when he put in the ending part of the remix version. That´s very disturbing and it makes that mix NOT perfect! (Hey, Inu-Liger, do it again, please) For doing your version most perfect ask Brian to play an extended guitar solo for the song, haha No, very good job like i told you before!!! |
Lord Fickle 15.05.2005 11:21 |
Thanks Jackie! Invisible Man and A Kind Of Magic posted. ;) |
Adam Baboolal 15.05.2005 11:39 |
Very nice edits. Only the second one I've really liked on here! Will those other two mixes of yours provide my third and fourth?! Peace, Adam. |
jackie 15.05.2005 12:11 |
Yes, Lord Frickle!!! WE WANT MORE! My request on you: The Miracle You can use album version/instrumental from Japan karaoke CD/ US Edit from Classic Queen)! That´s a order!!! I´d like to do remixes too, but I´m a technical crutch...... |

I´d like to do remixes too, but I´m a technical crutch......Lol! I'm not really sure what can be done with The Miracle. It's not one of my favourite songs, so I don't tend to listen to it all that much, and I don't have those other two versions you mentioned anyway. I'm working on a version of Hammer To Fall, which will be the Headbangers Mix, with better joins than the original, I hope! |
jackie 15.05.2005 15:17 |
Ok, no problem! I´m sure Hammer will become another great remix!! And Inu-Liger: Sorry! You know I like your remix of Invincible Hope!!!!!!!!!. I only wanted to give compliments to Lord Fickle. His Breakthru is 99%. Your Invincible Hope is 90%, perhaps you didn´t realize that little soundlevel-problem at the end........ ok???? |
Adam Baboolal 15.05.2005 18:37 |
If someone provides those mixes of The Miracle, I'll take a look at it. I won't promise anything, though. But I like the song, so you never know. Peace, Adam. |

ok, my mistake. It´s YOUR mix...... |

Does anyone know if these mixes are allowed to be played on community radio stations, or would there be copyright issues? Also, along the same lines, is there any way for us to protect our mixes from other people downloading them, and subsequently claiming them as their own? |
Adam Baboolal 27.05.2005 08:29 |
Ouch, that's a toughy... It could happen, I'm afraid. You could always try and go through official channels but I'm not sure how that'd work. Peace, Adam. |

Doesnt seem to matter how you try, as there will always be someone who can get round whatever method of protection you use. |
Lord Fickle 27.05.2005 16:07 |
OK, thanks guys. I have a mate who's into community / hospital radio, but neither of us were sure whether these mixes could be legally broadcast. As far as copy protection, I guess we just have to trust people's integrity. Cubik703 posted TMLWKY, and could have claimed it as his own, but had the decency not to, so hopefully most people will be the same. |

Lord Fickle 21.08.2005 15:02 |
I think you'll have a long wait! I don't have much The Cross stuff, but thanks for your comments, and for bumping this before it gets deleted! :) |

Hi there, Any chance this could be generously re-posted. I'm a big fan of this song and would be really interested to hear this. Many thanks either way. |

Thanks both Daniel vZ and Lord Fickle (of course!). Really looking forward to hearing this when I get home tonight, by the way I thought the Fickle Mix of 'Need Your Loving Tonight' was great and really added to the track. Many thanks. |

I know it's really a shot in the dark, but is there any chance this could be re-uploaded? Please? :) |
Lord Fickle 16.07.2007 03:03 |
I'll have to try and find it first! Leave it with me. Haven't got time now, but will have a look this evening. :) |
