Tickqueener and I would just like to express our immense excitement about getting to see Green Day this weekend! Also he will be seeing The Killers next week and I will be seeing Keane on Sunday, so we are excited about those too.
I actually saw The Killers on Thursday and it was probably the second best concert I have seen thus far. I was pretty surprised to hear the Flash theme as their opener, but it was awesome. :^D
Chris would also like for me to say "Neener neener neenerrrrrrrrrr!" about getting to see Green Day. lol. um, yeah.
I have to wait until September to see Green Day.
I got general admission tix for Giants Stadium, and I have to say I'm already afraid of getting pushed inside the mosh-pit with all those Jersey kids.

Have fun, and be sure to let us know how it goes, as I'm going to see them at Milton Keynes in June!
The Killers rock Alli! Seen them three times so far. Did Louis XIV support them? They are fantastic too. Not made it yet, but will and should soon!
Keane will be great too, promise!
I've got six gigs this month - all of them coming to less than the £55 quid that Queen cost last night!
I got General Admissions tickets to the Killers, too, Dan, but I didn't go near the mosh pit. That would have been terrifying...lol
I am not sure of the opening band's name, Eggy, but it had a female singer and they were a Canadian band. Not too bad, but the female singer sounded a bit like Bono. ;^)
And thanks, everyone...Chris and I will let yo uknow how things went!
I was at Queen concert, you weren't, hehe, and you will not :). Brian told me yesterday that they are all tired and made a lot of money to tour now USA, it was fake so American people could be happy. I'm just kidding don't get angry, they'll not tour USA because Paul has solo plans :).

- We'll see.
Just thought I would leave some comments about the Green Day concert that I saw last night. Like Erin and Pieter said a while back, it was awesome! Billie Joe was very big on audience participation and that was very cool. It was certainly the first concert I had been to that had so much audience participation.
Luckily, my sister and I had really good seats (although we were to the side of the stage, so we couldn't see the backdrop or the lights like the people that were opposite the stage. Which was a bummer for me, but oh well).
I thought their performances of American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, and Holiday were the most fun. Especially Holiday, for some reason. But their other performances were really good also.
The cover of Shout *was* great! And I felt appropriate singing along with WATC considering I wore a Queen shirt. ;^)
Oh, and I bought a tour book and the black t-shirt with the tour dates/hand grenade on it. :^)
For those of you that will be seeing them in the near future, I am sure you will have a great time! Hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
I don't think they are touring Ireland (at least I haven't heard anything about it) and I'm pretty sure their tour ends in Atlanta, GA. But I could be wrong.
The Killers did a European tour last November and Feb this year.
They are playing Glasto and T In the Park. I doubt they will do a European tour before winter.
That wasn't Louis XIV Alli, their singer is male. Maybe they are okay though!
"Flash's Theme on The Killers' gig?
Considering that Green Day has also played WATC, so you've gone only to Queen-influenced gigs. :-P"
- And that's a bad thing?
Yeah, guess it is a different band, eggy. Maybe I'll hear the opening band you had, considering you think they'll get more popular in the future!
I saw the Keane concert last night and they were really great! The crowd was a bit of a bummer, because it was mostly 'older' people and they didn't seem as excited as I was...but they did cheer and applaud after the songs, so I guess that was good.
Since the crowd was pretty calm, my sister and I managed to get up pretty close in the standing section. I'd never done that before and I got pretty close, which was the first time I had ever been that close to a band!
They performed three new tracks and I quite liked them. Their performances of Bend or Break, Everybody's Changing, and Somewhere Only We Know were just awesome.
