No 1 for me at the moment is a quite unknown band from NY called TIMESBOLD - brilliant!!! - Alternative Country Folk Americana multi instrumentalists, great, deep lyrics and a very beautiful voice of the singer, that goes right under your skin and just to make some promotion, everybody should check them out link other than that The Clash and Strummer's latest band The Mescaleros, The Doors, Mercury Rev, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley, U2, Neil Young, Flaming Lips, Cat Stevens, Muse, Snow Patrol, Willie Nelson, Grandaddy, The Band, The Verve/Richard Ashcroft, Hopewell, My Bloody Valentine, etc etc etc.... |

Are there any other teenagers out there who only like old music and think that today's music is crap and image-oriented and talentless and unimaginative etc? |
Sonja 15.05.2005 16:19 |
Well, I agree with most of what you said but you can't really compare Muse with these old bands because Muse sound completely different. They do have their own sound, the only band you could compare them to is Radiohead. What annoys me more are all these new "The"-bands, because they all sound the same and it's getting really boring! The Strokes, The Hives, The Killers, The Bravery, The Zutons, The Libertines, etc... B O R I N G Not that they're all bad, well The Strokes are but I like The Killers and the Libertines a lot... But it's just nothing new anymore. But then again, there won't ever be anything new anymore because EVERYTHING's been done before so I guess we'll have to put up with that these days or stick to the old bands... which you won't ever see live tho... |
