I know one or two others have mentioned this before - but can anyone shed any light on why there has been no comment from Brian May on the Newcastle gig? Maybe I'm paranoid, but if you check out his web site there are rave comments about every other gig: Birmingham, Manchester, about how great the audience were...the plaudits are endless...and Newcastle...NOTHING!! I mean, its not like it was just another show, It was THE first show of Queen's first UK tour in 25 years!! Previous noticeboards have comments on how Brian was smiling from atart to finish, so why are we being blanked?
So please, if anyone who was at the gig has any ideas why it seems the Newcastle arena gig is not worthy of mention I would love to know.
You're too much paranoid. He writes comments when he can. If he misses something that doesn't have to mean it was wrong or something bad. For someone with too much on his mind he's doing it fine.
Hey HCRVELIN
You're missing the point...I wasn't having a go at him, He's found the time to comment on Birmingham, Manchester since the Newcastle gig, all I ask is why no comments about Newcastle?
Lets see.....
Brian is one of the FEW artists who actually takes the time to correspond with his fans...
Honestly, name two others who do what he does on his site.
Bri, I'm sure, hasn't got the time to write about every show that they do. What exactly do you want from him, anyway? Should he get on his soapbox and tell you everytime he pops a squat?
Are you the type that if a friend gave you $10,000 dollars, you would bitch that the bills were wrinkled?
Good grief.....
It's just not the topic starter that thinks this is weird. He write about many of the concerts, and ofcourse not all. But i really thought he would write a few lines about the comeback to UK. He seemed excited at the gig, but he's a busy man, no doubt about that.
Thanks dbuzz
you're right its not the end of the world, just a bit dissapointed, I was looking forward to some feedback thats all, and point taken about Cardiff. And in answer to your question...yes! two of the best hours of my life!! Lights, music everything from stat to finish was absolute magic!! Do I take it you were at the Cardiff gig?
I agree that feedback would have been nice but I'd like to think that Brian thought it was a good show and we enjoyed ourselves

what i also dont get is, why has no audio turned up from the gig? iv seen Manchester,Brimingham and Cardiff i think, so wheres Newcastle, did no one see it worth recording? is newcastle not good enough for a recording?
The other person I know who corresponds with fans is Bruce Johnston from the Beach Boys. But even he tends to go quiet when they are on tour. Brian Wilson sometimes does when he has a new album out or something to promote - actually it's probably Mrs Wilson doing the typing!
I reckon Brian does more than just about any of them - he answers letters, which is great, but his soapbox is excellent, as it gives an insight into his mind...more than I'm comfortable with at times actually.
Anyway, I was at Newcastle and I thought we were great!!! I'm fairly sure Brian would to.
I was at an ACDC gig at the arena a few years ago...now that was a shite crowd!
my dad stopped me! and hes much stricter than security, it was "leave it or your not going" and that was at the door of the house on the way out!
So sorry guys, would of been a crap recording anyway!
