Who better enjoys using Houston '77 to toy with Queen fan's emotions and being mean-spirited?
As Jim Beach is basicly clueless as to fan demand for this concert ... the Queen trading community wins by default. Fortunately, the long-established traders have chosen not to participate in the kill-joy banter about Uruguay 83.
IMHO, Houston '77 is the main must have concert that is not generally available. I can do without Liverpool 73, Milwaukee 76 or Norway 82 as similar concerts are readily available. The American leg of the News tour does not have a readily available, complete concert bootleg with very good sound (New York is typically missing some songs for the average fan).
Unfortunately, I will only be able to hear (and see) Houston '77 one more time at the last Breakthru convention in Cleveland. I look forward to hearing the nearly unique versions of Liar and Keep Yourself Alive for what might be my last reasonable opportunity to hear these versions.
I do not have the time to become a trader. I prefer to "work smarter, not harder" by using the hub, rather than put blood sweat and tears into trading. I do not consider myself a leech as I leave my computer on usually seven days a week (even if I am not downloading).
I would be willing to pay $50 (the most I ever paid for an audio bootleg) for the Houston '77 audio, but I know selling concerts is considered immoral and crass by the Queen trading community.
A similar debate can be started over the seven South African shows in 1984. Aparently a while back someone was selling all 7 for $100 each! Additionally I believe that at least one of these concerts must have been filmed. With the advent of the Internet I think that selling bootleg recordings for monetary gain has become obsolete, but nevertheless these seven concerts need to be liberated. What can we do?

If I understand it good, I am playing with the fans emotions?
Nah, I think you misunderstood. The person who's witholding the South African shows et al is.

Not quite true Mr Winkle ;-)
Houston 77 was played yesterday evening @ 5.30pm GMT on Queen Radio. Granted it was a slightly edited format to thus respect the trading community but it was the soundboard quality version none the less and was heard by many.
Rare concerts such as Houston 77 & Milwaukee 76 can often be heard on 'your' station so please tune in and support as who knows how long we can run for ? Hopefuly for a long time yet but who knows what powers to be don't agree with our community ethos :-(
I didn't know Milwaukee '76 was rare. I've had the '75 and '76 Milwaukee shows for about 5 years now, as I got them via the taper. They sound pretty good, not great. The same guy taped ABBA on their final American tour. Now in regards to Houston '77 ... We have a problem. That one I only heard about from this site.
