When you posted this topic, I just was waiting to see and KNEW Bob Geldof's children would be on the list. He and Roger's kids have similar...er...names. BOTH Geldof and Roger have children named Tiger Lily which I knew, as well as Bob's other children's er...names, Peaches, and Fifi Trixiebell. What's up though with Roger and Tiger? He must love Tiger's grrrr. Rufus Tiger, Tiger Lily. (I Love Tigers too, so I can live with that!) At least he didn't name any of his kids Tony The Tiger LOL (from sugar frosted flakes cereal)! As for Lola Daisy May, I hope Roger knows that Daisy May was a cartoon character in I believe the old USA comic strip, Lil' Abner! LOL! I have to say though that Moon Unit Zappa and Dweezil Zappa always have and still take the award for weird and hippie 60's antiestablishment, (that was Frank's point in naming them). But weirder is Fire Vai-Steve Vai's child, never heard that one, as well as Fly for Erykah Badu's child. I am only hoping she named the child in the sense of either Fly like a bird..which is pretty..or maybe she meant it as African American for cool..which is what Fly is here in the USA with African American slang. "Fly" means cool, all that. But you know people are gonna think like the insect! LOL! |

I guess when you are a Rock star one of the bonuses is you can name your child any damn thing you want, the weirder or more bohemian, artsy craftsy, anti-establishment, hippie, the better. (hey it could be worse it could be....Paris Hilton...oh the horror!) :) |

He seems to like animal names for his kids. Felix Luther are both names of cats that I know, so is Tiger and Rufus is like a dog name. But I think Reese Witherspoon has great choice in kids names. She called her son Deacon! |

One big name for music artists children nowadays is India...guess cuz alot of artists are into that Krishna, Buddhist, spirittuality of India and the Yogi's or whatever you call them. Singer Guitarist Doyle Bramhall II and his wife Suzanna Melvoin (used to sing with Prince and is the sister of Prince's Revolution Guitarist Wendy Melvoin), they named their duaghter...India. Then there is the Grammy award singer who played with Brian & Roger at 46664 this year...India Arie. And I think that Sara MacLaughlin and her drummer husband who is from India, named their daughter India. |

Rory was actually the name we picked for another girl. We were totally surprised to see "she" had a ding dong, but were sold on the name and used it anyway. He started singing the chorus of WWRY totally unprovoked just after he turned one. His 3 yr old sister taught him. They're on their way! |

Last year at college, I sat with this pregnant girl and her friend (both chavs), they were on about names she would choose for the baby if it was a girl. The pregnant girl was a massive fan of the Black Eyed Peas and had her heart set on calling the baby Elephunk! (apparently after a Black Eyed Pea album)? Both girls dropped out of college after about 2 months so I never did find out what the baby got called. Hopefully not Elephunk though! |

Roger Waters' daughter is named India. Rick Wright oldest daughter is named Gala. David Gilmour's 3 year old daughter's name is Romany but I think Romany is a common child's name in Europe. |
