Hi guys... Some time ago i got a video on the hub, that was a footage from Queen's rehearsal for the Magic Tour... and that got me thinking, does anybody know of any other footage from some rehearsals for the previous tours (Works, Hot Space and the others)? The only i've seen is this from "Magic" and the one for Live Aid...
the one you have is official material i think, as it is available on the wembley dvd. I think there are videos of some various soundchecks munich has a soundcheck i think as well as rock in rio 85.
Yeah, i knew that, but thanx anyway :-)... But i was wondering if there were footage from previous tours rehearsals.. (like hot space tour, works tour)
Some old Info I had about the Magic tour, seems Queen did longer then Normal rehearsal in Spain,Before the 3 spanish shows, as the band was going to mix up the set list or add a song, but at the last min decided not too.
Other great setlist changing rehearsals they did one right after the Swedish show and after Leiden before finally settling on the what was then the current setlist.
I've got a rehearsal off a BBC arts program in 1979. It's on an old Betamax tape. Crazy Little thing called love. Filmed in Brighton.
Freddie was in Black leather jacket and red cord drainies.
I'll have to search it out. No idea how to put it on the net though. Someone may have already posted it.
There were no really different setlist, unless you compare Sweden with the rest and a few adds/ a Few taken off during the rest of the shows.
My Very relaible souce told me Roger was getting Quite bored and wanted to add a song or 2 for the last 4 shows and to move a few songs around, maybe they tried and felt what they had worked the best becuase every one knows nothing changed.

BAD EX, are you sure the BBC rehearsal from 1979 is recorded in Brighton? I always saw it marked as "Bristol", instead... if so, do you have some evidence? I'd be very curious to finally know the venue of that film :)
thanks!
So, as wstüssyb said, Roger was getting bored with the same setlist... And i've noticed that in Mannheim, Germany, on "AOBTD" he plays his drum quite different from any other Magic concerts.. Was that only a mistake, or did he do that because he wanted to try something different?
I'm trying to find the old email I have from a Spanish friend who attened 7 Magic tour gigs, and recorded (claimed to) the Rehearsals at Barcelona and Madrid, he listed the lenth of each song and what was different, once I find it, I'll post it here
And Tom cat, I'm not sure about Mannheim, I do remember Freddie not feeling his best for Berlin and Mannheim shows, a mild bout with the flu I remember reading, Dunno if Roger didnt feel so well.
