I had two tickets for the Manchester gig last night but instead of going, my wife an I spent almost 3 hours stuck in between junctions 25 and 24 on the M62 behind a 7 car and 1 Artic pile-up. Sitting in taffic for that long was bad enough ... wasting £110 on tickets was not great news either ... but far worse was sitting there knowing that you’re missing what is possibly a once in a lifetime chance to catch a collaboration between two of your all-time favourites. The pain was great ... the pain is still great. We got to Knebworth in ’86 and to the tribute gig in Wembley in ’92. managed to catch Paul Rodgers twice too. But Manchester 2005 was not to be. I am gutted. |

Erin wrote: I suppose I can't feel tooo sorry for you, though, considering you saw Knebworth! ;-)Yes, it was great. Slept at Stevenage station. So glad I did that. I run the link website but never saw Lizzy ... and "hate" anyone who did! :-) |

Whilst you're on to Mr May would you care to mention that you were supposed to meet a couple who had managed to miss the M62 mayhem and get to the concert - but their enjoyment was marred by the fact that their friends hadn't turned up? Just a thought Dan! Your progress - or lack of was being followed by the immediate crowd surrounding us. Over one hour after the second phone call and you were still in the same part of the motorway people started to give up hope. No consolation but you missed a great gig. |

hmmm, it's been moved to Friday 15th ... and my band has a gig that night so I can't go. |
Bobby_brown 08.07.2005 09:12 |
Cancel your gig and go. Your ticket was given to you by the big man because the reasons we all know, so it's like giving away a present that Brian has sent to you. But, you're the one who knows. In case you can't go, at least guive the ticket to someone who deserves it. Take care |

Take careNooooo Dr. Dan. Play your gig - You know it makes sense! -from Dan's drummer - who also has 2 gold circle tickets for Hyde Park (but paid for them on e-bay) |

Arf. Styxx_man - we'll have to dedicate the opening number "Wishing Well" to our Runway Legends and give it some extra welly!!!! ;-) |
