Has anybody noticed that on A Night At The Opera, there is a VERY subtle beeping noise during "I'm In Love With My Car"?
In addition, the same sound can be heard in "Great King Rat" on the first Queen (self titled) album, again, so subtle can it almost can't be heard.
What is that noise and has anybody else heard it?
Listen closely to the songs at the right time:
I'M In Love With My Car
And the hubcaps (beep here) all gleam...
Great King Rat
Where will I be tomorrow, (beep here) will I beg or will I borrow..
Was this some kind of glitch that was present in 70s recording equipment? If so, wouln't they have fixed it when they reformatted the albums for CD? Hmmmm.....What are you guys' thoughts on this?
There is also a beep on Drowse, listen carefully. Just before Roger starts to sing the song, you can hear a beep. Quite annoying, because everytime you hear the song you are automatically focused on the beep.
on ILWMC i thought that that beep was made on purpose because it fits the song.
I call them genious and now you say it was a mistake!!- I have to listen back to all their catalogue again and re-think my ideia about them.
Take care
The bit in IILWMC sounds like a tiny snippet of the guitar twiddling at the start of the song.
The (almost unhearable) bit in Great King Rat sound like a bit of wah guitar (which makes sense seeing as the song is full of it).
