I was watching at the downloads and uploads of my computer and i remembered this:
1)Can you tell wich songs by other artists were inspired by Queen(can be a riff, a vocal line, guitar sound, etc)?- If you can, then name the song and tell us why you think so.
2)And about Queen. Can you tell wich songs inspired Queen and why?
Me first:
I allways thought that "Don´t try Suicide" has a guitar sound/mood that was inspired by The Police´s "Message in a bottle".
Someone else (I won't steal credit for this) pointed out a while back that SYW is very reminiscent of Rocky Raccoon.
NYLT is very much like 8 Days a Week.
My own personal comparrison is between the ends of IGSM and Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite.
...sorry I didn't branch out from The Beatles!
The chorus of U2 song "It´s a beautifull day" were inspired on "Father to son" and all the Queen II album- i'm referring to the multitrack vocals, not the music. The first time i listened to it i thought imediatly on Queen II. Do you feel the same about this one?
Take care
I would say
1. the bass line of “Breakthru” was inspired by AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie”.
and
2. the guitar riff of “You don’t fool me” was inspired by the bass riff of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.
