I got floor standing tickets for Manchester Wed night because (obviously) I wanted to get as close as possible. As I've only ever had seated tickets before, I was wondering can anyone tell me, will I have to be really early to get near the front, and will it be a really restricted view if I end up at the back? It's the only date I got tickets for and if I end up wishing I'd got seated tickets I'll be soooo gutted.
If I were you, I'd try to get as much in the front as possible. Because if you should stay more than 20m from the stage/catwalk, then it's quite useless and you could have bought a sitting ticket instead.
But standing is of course much better, I can't imagine sitting during a rock concert. Cologne will be the only exception :)

well i got standing tickets for the Toon gig, only cos when i tried for seating it had already gone, but im not bothered, but the only problem is i have to pick my tickets up 1 hour before the gates open cos of me stoopid father sayin we'll pick em up, so it means we'll be waitin ages to pick em up, then wait even longer to get in, by the time iv got in, seen the souveniers, and got into the area itself i'll probably be at the back! but still doesnt bother me too much since im like 6 foot 3 i hopefully can see over everyone else! its my parents im worries about, they are like 5 foot! so i doubt they will see owt at all! i feel sorry for them really :(

Totally agree here :) In Antwerp I had seating tickets and I could see and hear the show quite clearly. In Rotterdam I was just at the side of the catwalk, only three metres away from Brian/Roger/Paul. That was great, but if I'd be standing at 15 feet from them, I'd rather have seating tickets that stand in the middle of the crowd.
OK thanks
I'm only like five foot three and my mum's even smaller, dammit. I guess I'll just wear REALLY high heels, like stilts or something. I don't care now anyway, as long as I'm there.
No idea how much "five foot three" is but anyway - if you manage to get to the first row at the catwalk, then you'll have a perfect view, no matter how tall/small you are.
tayorgaga - you can collect tickets before that!
I thought that was teh case, but got my tickets from the arena box office on Saturday afternoon.
If you can get to the arena tomorrow morning (or even tonight) you should be able to get them.
im on the upper tear for the manchester gig but im the 2nd block from the stage so from previous visits to the men i will have a perfect view. standing gigs are only good if you are tall as sometimes the stage is not quite high up enough so you see little action.
