OK, I know all of us have at least complained about Queenzone turning into a snakepit... and that when we don't turn into the snakes ourselves.
This whole topic is about everyone's bad experiences on message boards from other bands.
I used to post for a while on the Metallica message board from the official website, and let me tell you that it makes Queenzone look like paradise. People are constantly cursing at each other, and there's very few tolerance even when you post topics or replies that are not meant to be offensive at all.
My other bad experience was at the Green Day message board where I had some moron calling me a 'dumbass' because I ordered pre-sale tickets, and all I wanted to do was nicely ask people if they had any trouble having their tickets delivered through the mail. Another one called me a 'fuckin' idiot' because I should have known that tickets take a while to be delivered through the mail.
This is my first venture onto a message board..and the very reason I waited so long was for the reasons you brought up. I DO love it here, and no I don't need "validation" as VAD said and I have NO problem with people disagreeing...rationally with me in an intelligent debate, difference of opinion.
But I hate when people launch attacks on me that do not discuss the topic at all, just intentionally flame me for the fun of being nothing but a bully and enjoying it. To me those people must have pretty low self esteem. They tell me I have nothing better to do when I create an actual discussion topic. Then they show they REALLY don't heve anything better to do by launching attacks..or just saying something totally irrelevant to the topic like "What time is it" or something lewd not to be funny, but to be rude.
What I don't get is if these particular QZoners hate my posts, why don't they just ignore them..no they have to ride me for no reason.
EXCUSE me if I have my own mind and I KNOW to put serious stuff in that forum, and general stuff or personal stuff in those forums...so leave me the hell alone if you just want to threaten me and not address the topic at hand. GEEZ!
Sorry Mr.Jingles79, but on QZ we discuss how Brian says how bad that there are bullies in life, but there are MANY bullies here on QZ too.
I have NEVER launched an attack on someone on QZ or bullied them. What's the point of being a bully? I guess the Bullies on here have no other way to get THEIR VALIDATION.
Just glad that there are many LOVELY, intelligent, humorous people on QZ too who enlighten and inform me, and bring a chuckle to me, like you! :)xxxx

I can tell you that there are nicer Queenzoners than bullies. The only problem is that the bullies happen to stand out with their crap more than the rest.
Still very glad to have you here, and you like many people here truly make Queenzone a better place.
LindaOfValley from this board called me as a 'biggest dumbass ever' - people on any boards can be rude and stupid and no matter if it's Queen's or Who's board.

She has insulted many people with no just cause. It baffles me that there is an entire thread dedicated to begging her back.

I'm like Arlene this is my first Message board too and, again the same, for the reasons you just said I never went on one befor, but I really like it here, finally I can speak about Queen without being told to shut it by friends and family !!!

She had the nerve to insult me when she started her own thread telling people she was leaving when I asked her, repeatedly, to come back. So I Didn't sign that petition thread. Thank you too...NOT (sarcasm)

I once almost joined the ND message board, but when I read through the topics I came upon a topic when the posters were saying how they disliked virgins and how they hated how virgins think they are better than everyone else...so yeah, didn't make a good impression on me.
Also I read that someone on that board made death threats to Gwen or something to that effect, so they shut it down. Or so I seem to recall.
I remember reading once that No Doubt decided to shut down their message board because there were a lot of nasty comments about Gwen. However, I didn't know if there were any death threats against Gwen or any other member of the band. I think Gwen posted a comment saying that there were some horrible things being posted on the boards, and she felt very sorry for those who still followed all the rules of the boards, but her final decision to shut it down was because the whole thing was just getting out of control.
I can see why Gwen wanted to shut down that board, because if you go to any No Doubt message board and you'll find that there's too many turds posting topics about the size of Gwen's boobs.

Haha.. I think I am one of those zoners that most people wouldn't mind if I left for good, I have a habit of doing an exit post about once a month, I am a member of a few boards right now and I must say that this isn't the worst, but not the most enjoyable one either, of course that remark should draw a few " if you don't like it then leave" remarks.. but I shall remain, at least for now. if you want to see true sarcasm join a heavy metal bands board.. just about any of them will do, myself I was a member of Judas Priest, and I have to say, the fight about who is better Rob or Slasher makes the fight about Freddie and Paul look childish.
