'Rotwang's Party' is not Freddie's track. Some of those files are available in mp3 on Timelily's site, for instance. |
Jamaleni 29.04.2005 09:28 |
Could you send me a link of this site please. Thanks alot |
John S Stuart 29.04.2005 11:18 |
Jamaleni: I know this may not be what you want to hear, but here goes. First: NO official material - is kind of an accepted choice here. Your list comprises of nothing but official material. Why not ask at Queen Online, or BrianMay.Com? Second: "link may not be a leecher's ideal, but, it is a REAL alternative for someone who REALLY wants this material. Another more immediate alterantive could be iTunes. Finally: "Timelily's... Could you send me a link of this site please?" Try Google. Please do not accept this personally, but sometimes I feel that it is almost an expectation to have such stuff hand delivered. |
Serry... 29.04.2005 11:24 |
Link to Timelily's site is on my site (I'd preffer if they'd closed my site than QueenZone!). |

In fairness, the fact that formats are listed suggests that this person may wish to buy some actual records. Which I applaud. I'll see what I have spare. |

No reply from the thread kicker-offer then? I guess s/he doesn't want to spend any money then, and just get it all for free. |
Penetration_Guru 03.05.2005 14:18 |
Good point - the one time I try and see the good in people... |
Jamaleni 03.05.2005 15:03 |
Well, I don't want to bother myself with reply, but... I right now have about 70 CDs of Queen and solo albums/singles (No, I don't collect bootlegs). And I'll be thrilled to buy those songs if they would be re-released on CDs (some kind of box set, or re-release of original singles). But there's no f***** way to pay some bloodsucker 120 GBP for one 12". Anyway, I'll get those songs (some of them are allready found) without your help, or with it (A big thanks to some of you, you'll know who you are). So, to conclude (to all of you dear, "helping" people). Thanks a lot, you were extremley uselless. |
John S Stuart 03.05.2005 16:03 |
Jamaleni: "So, to conclude (to all of you dear, "helping" people). Thanks a lot, you were extremley uselless." So no luck here then? Did you try Queen online? |
Penetration_Guru 03.05.2005 17:01 |
Er, he still says he's after the records. But apparently the long established free market principle of supply and demand is abhorrent to this individual. Good luck in your search, Comrade.... |
Jamaleni 04.05.2005 01:50 |
Nope, I want the media containig them. And I'll buy it as soon as I find them for a normal price, and no one could tell me that 120 GBP for a 12" is normal price. I say it once, and I'll say it once again, if they re-relase them on some sort of box set, or any other version on CD I'll be the first who will buy them. |
Jamaleni 04.05.2005 01:51 |
Oh, and one more thing, I have some verry bad experience with buying from people I met on the forums, so.... :( |
John S Stuart 04.05.2005 03:16 |
Jamaleni: From Penetration_Guru 1988 The Golden Boy 7" single 1. The Golden Boy (Edit) 2. The Fallen Priest (Edit) £6 1998 Business 7" single 1. Business (Rock On Cozy Mix) £3 1994 Happiness 12" single 3. Everybody Hurts Sometime (Live) 4. Old Friends (Live) £10 (this is a picture disc) 1988 Shove It UK 12" single None of these prices seem excessive to me. |
Jamaleni 04.05.2005 05:35 |
No they aren't too expensive, but I don't have any use of them, since I don't have record player. |
Teo_torriate04 04.05.2005 10:28 |
I don't have a record player either. Don't suppose any of these are available on wax cylinder are they ? |
Erin 04.05.2005 10:41 |
Record players ain't that expensive, guys. |
John S Stuart 04.05.2005 13:46 |
J S Stuart: None of these prices seem excessive to me. Jamaleni: No they aren't too expensive, but I don't have any use of them, since I don't have record player. But in your original posting YOU requested them: Hi, I need some (a lot i'm affraid) solo songs. 1988 The Golden Boy 7" single 1998 Business 7" single 1. Business (Rock On Cozy Mix) 1994 Happiness 12" single 3. Everybody Hurts Sometime (Live) 4. Old Friends (Live) 1988 Shove It UK 12" single In otherwords - you had NO intentions of buying at all! Just as I thought - another leech. |

Just as I thought - another leech.Well, it seems that no one read my replys, so I'm going to say it again. I'll be the first one who will buy it on a CD re-relase, but till then the only way to get them is to download them from net if/when I find them. And, to all of you that call me leech. What is exact difference between me who ask for some odd B-sides, and version from singles which can't be bought in a CD shop (even though I allready have allmost all that songs on official CD releases of albums), and between you who ask for those same songs, but you asked for versions that are ilegally recorded during live shows? Why don't you go to a CD shop and buy official Live albums? Don't you think that you are leeches too? Or are you just a bunch of hipocrits? |

Posting links to these files puts Queenzone in danger of being closed. There are a number of places where you can get these tracks but links to the files cannot be placed on Queenzone. Yes most of what you are looking for you cannot buy in any record store, but it has been officially released. The bootlegs of concerts are not officially available. Ebay is a perfectly good place where you can find many of these items. |
Penetration_Guru 04.05.2005 16:16 |
We do buy official live albums too. Next question? |

I bought records strictly to hear the b-sides, extended versions, etc. of the non-solo stuff. |

Add to everything what have been wrote above. If you're a collector - then you need to buy all this stuff! There's no collectors whose collections exists only as an archive of mp3/flac files. Go and search/trade! If you're not a collector - then I don't think you really need in stuff like 'New Dark Ages' single version. Listen to albums and have fun, you wouldn't find something great on all these single versions, 12" mixes, etc. - leave it to collectors and die-hard fans. You have to make choice who you are. |

As I said few times before, if they re-relase that songs on CDs (did anybody say something about box set ;o) ?) I'll be extremly happy and buy it. But till then, I'll settle with mp3. OK, maybe I overreacted on replys I get, but let's face it, you were the only person who normally said to me that I can't request official material, everybody else were extremly negative. Even though I don't see what's a big deal with some B-sides that aren't available in shops I can understand that you are affraid of being shut down, and I'm not going to ask that kind of materials here again. |
