It would be GREAT to hear a lot of different things after being told that the tour would have a rolling setlist.
But, they have a formula at the moment which works and they are sticking with it which means that they are grooving themselves into a steady rhythm.
If they go to the US (which I doubt they will after the slow ticket sales in mainland Europe), they may choose to incorporate a few different things - maybe change the Bad Company numbers around as the market for their material in the US is HUGE (!), but I would still expect the same setlist as in Europe simply because they can not afford to take too many chances and risk a critical pasting.
slow ticketsale in Europe..
dude ..where've you been the last couple of months? :S
I'm sure that not only in The Netherlands it was difficult to get tickets ...
slow sale?! .. Ahoy was sold-out in 8 minutes rememeber.
I'd say that there was at least 20 feet distance between the back of the hall and the last row of people in the stalls at Brixton. We got there late and had absolutely no trouble getting half-way to the front.
The balcony may have been different.
UK venues always tend to leave a bit of a gap at the back in the standing areas for safety reasons.
I have been to Brixton for several concerts and there has always been a bit of a gap at the back. It was also the same at the Back of Wembley Stadium during the FM Tribute concert and that was definately a sell out. I think it is a health and safety thing in the UK.
Having said that with the bad organisation of tickets for Brixton, due to the lottery farce, I would not be surprised if they were left with unsold tickets.
Roger states in an interview with Dutch television "we change the setlist every night" .. than you see him think, and he rephrases it "we make little changes, just to keep it special"
Little changes indeed (only omission for throath problems and sometimes the '39 / Longaway swap)
It is a health and safety here in the uk, I used to work in venues and they are given a fire limit. Its usually say 1 person for every 20. its easier to get people out If there is room to move at the back.
