After I did the topic on Freddie's video "Living On My Own" which I saw for the vERY first time Saturday, I commented on his GORGEOUS Regal jacket with gold epaulets. Janet told me that Freddie had worn that same jacket, designed by Emaneuls (who designed Priness Di's Wedding dress), anyway Freddie wore that same jacket, walking down the runway at the 1985 Charity Benefit Fashion Aid, with actress Jane Seymour. Well here's the website, and it lists FREDDIE! Now I'm gonna look for any photos of Freddie. Enjoy! Says there's a video of the event...but I wonder if you can still buy it? link |

Frog....Thank you...Freddie & Jane look STUNNING together. I can't think of any 2 artists I adore more and who are both so gorgeous and look great, walking down that catwalk together. Their clothes are FABULOUS! Wish I had been there! Thanks again! |

Can't stop looking at this...geez they Both look so gorgeous and I'm glad the people who put this event together chose Freddie and Jane...but to walk together..both are SO classy..and perfect for such high fashion clothes. They are perfect together! |

Ok here's the short video from the show (about 2 minutes long). Unfortunately it's black and white and the quality is quite low... :-( But at least you can see Freddie and Jane. link Why wasn't this fashion show featured on the Live Aid DVD? |

My F&%^*%%###N computer won't download it, says error 404!!!! But the photos are just dazzling. No offense to Prince Charles and all or Camilla, But Freddie & Jane look like I imagine in a fairy tale, a Prince and a Princess to Really look. Just so ethereal and magical! Freddie never looked more regal and majestic and Jane...always looks that way. I love Jane Seymour and she has done tons of period piece movies and don't forget she was the infamous GOOD James Bond girl...Solitaire...in "Live & Let Die", and she won the Tony for playing Mozart's wife in the Broadway version of "Amadeus". She had twin sons in her either late 40's or early 50's and she STILL looks Breathtaking. |

Haystacks Calhoun wrote: Pretty cool.... It's a good thing Jane Seymour didn't catch Gay...Don't think she could "catch" gay..but I hear Freddie Caught or rather carries her in the video...and I think Jane was the LUCKIEST girl in the world! Freddie was a Fairy tale Prince..and she his Fairy tale Princess at that show. BTW Jane Seymour Being the BEAUTY and Rich lady that she is, has been married at last count I think, 5 times, has massive estates in the USA and the UK, and has had MANY GORGEOUS lovers, including her co-star from Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, Joe Lando, before she married her current husband and gave birth to twins. She does baby food commercials now and writes children's books and STILL is GORGEOUS and I think raises money for stem cell & spinal injuries/damage research as Christopher Reeve (her co-star from the film, "Somewhere In Time") was a lifelong friend of hers and she helped Chris & his family alot when he was paralyzed in his riding accident. She also NAMED one of her sons Chris and STILL Campaigns for stem cell research and a cure for Quadraplegics with spine injuries, like Chris. Lovely lady. I adore her. True class. |

Agnes wrote: Arlene, I really don't know why you can't download the file via rapidshare. Maybe You Send It will work for you... linkTHANK YOU AGNES!!!!! It worked fine! Love it! Freddie & Jane look so gorgeous! With Jane, look how Freddie acts like a real Prince, waving to the crowd. I also love when he and Jane bow...to the audience. Love when Freddie kisses Jane! Oh...so dreamy! They both really play it up for the audience. I like when Freddie first picks flowers from the bouquet and tosses individual flowers to the audience and THEN Freddie throws the whole giant bouquet of flowers into the audience. (Lucky person whoever caught it)! Guess that means that person gets married! LOL! Freddie REALLY struts his stuff down that catwalk. I like when he steps away from Jane for a few moments and he literally takes over the runway as he moves like a professional model down it. Being the NATURAL showman and fashion maven Freddie always was, he was a NATURAL here as a runway model, really in his element. Love when Freddie runs up to Jane and he picks up Jane and the whole audience gasps with glee! Even Jane looks surprised! in a good way! Nice touch having the orchestra there playing like a royal fanfare too! |
doremi 27.04.2005 11:37 |
I copied this to my email!!!! :) I watched it about a dozen times to catch everything! Freddie & Jane really knew how to play..to the crowd. They both acted more like a Prince & Princess than models. Looks like the show's organizers had Freddie & Jane...do the Grand Finale...and intentionally staged their part to be..like a little royal mini-play...what with the flowers girls and boy leading in front of Freddie & Jane, a whole group of models in royal wedding ceremony wear on the side of the stage bowing to the audience too as Freddie & Jane first kissed...looking at the audience as they kiss, then the 2 of them bow to the audience with the procession of models in wedding ceremony wear, as the conductor and orchestra play VERY dramatically with a royal fanfare, a chorus singing a royal fanfare, ending with a grand royal flourish! So Cool! They HAVE to sell this on DVD!!!! I would buy it in a heartbeat! AGNES..thank you again! You're a gem! |
doremi 27.04.2005 12:21 |
I also saw actor Michael Caine with his model/wife Shakira on stage. I am going to watch this again! Yes, Freddie IS chasing Bob Geldof around the stage, and from the expression I saw on Bob's face, I think Bob was having a Blast and was laughing!!!! After Freddie chases Bob around the stage, Freddie grabs Bob's hand kiddingly and pulls Bob back onstage. |
doremi 27.04.2005 17:18 |
I watched this again...Jane must be having real fun with Freddie. At the very beginning, as the 2 of them head down the runway with the flower girls and boy in front of them, Jane practically skips...towards Freddie, and she loops her arm through his so that they can walk arm in arm, very formal down the runway, and THEN they kiss. Jane kisses Freddie as much as he kisses her..as they intentionally face the audience and ham it up, then bow towards the audience. And if you look REAL close, I'm not sure, but when Jane runs towards Freddie and he picks her up with one arm, sweeping her into the air...it looks...like Freddie kisses her AGAIN! Did you notice Freddie picks up Jane...with only one arm, as he has the bouquet of flowers in the other arm? That's NOT EASY. He literally runs up to her, as Jane runs towards him, and Freddie picks her up with just one arm. Didn't know he was so strong! Talk about SWEEPING a girl off her feet! What a man!!!! Then when Freddie tosses the entire bouquet in the audience, Jane...at the Same time, grabs both sides of her wedding dress with both of her hands and heaves it forward towards the audience. She never stops smiling and laughing as she and Freddie do their fashion walk. |
doremi 27.04.2005 19:55 |

Bohardy 28.04.2005 15:26 |
Well, on this thread there's only 1 person that would clearly LOVE to see this on DVD, and I think we all know who that is. There's 1 person that said it should be on DVD. There's 1 person that queried why it wasn't on the Live Aid DVD. And there's 1 person that said, jokingly, that they'd pay to see Fred chase Bob Geldof around a stage. And that's it. How does that equate to being "a lot of people [that] would LOVE to see the official release of Fashion Aid on DVD"? |

Oh and another thing...Mr. Sarcasm...Nobody officially ever asked for the release of Live Aid on DVD either...they just pirated it and bootlegged it..and Geldof caught the pirates last Spring and was so infuriated...not so much that it was pirated...but that ALL proceeds, royalties from Live Aid...are NOT to go to the music artists, or ANYONE else (including the bootleggers who were making a mint), ever.... The money goes to charity for African Famine Relief. Geldof blew his top BIG TIME, called the police in the UK and they raided one bootleggers house and confiscated all the computers' hardrives and boots, and Geldof said the bootleggers were literally taking food out of the mouths of starving people in Africa. I read all the press when the S**t hit the fan this time last year. That is the REASON Geldof FINALLY released Live Aid last November, and the ONLY REASON. You can bet people aren't "asking for Fashion Aid" so much as hijacking it illegally. How else was there material for ME to watch, huh! So that gave me the idea and to do the RIGHT thing. So why not just do the right win/win situation again with Fashion Aid, like with Live Aid. We get an authorized DVD with outakes and such in GREAT quality...Starving people get food to live...and that makes me, and I'm sure it would make Geldof happy. |

I honestly do not know why you pointed out those 3 posts to me, unless you have some bizarre desire to make yourself look foolish and ignorant of other people's posts. In case you didn't notice, those posts were the very same posts I was referring to, and they thoroughly validate my point that there are, at absolute best, only 4 people on this board that we know of who would like to see Fashion Aid released on DVD. I was merely pointing out the extreme hyperbole in your post that mentioned a LOT of people would LOVE to see this show released on DVD. If it was ever released (and honestly, how much call for it is there? Have any of us ever heard of this event in a way unconnected to Freddie?) and it raised money for charity then that's fine. But I for one won't be buying it. I'm off to attend to my sanitary towel... |

Who would buy a fashion show on DVD? I mean if they wanted to seel it, it would have been a better option to put it in the LIVE AID box together with the LIVE AID report and some rehearsals. See Link This below link "The whole event was captured by Kevin Godley (of Godley & Creme - made the "Two Tribes" video). TV rights for the event were sold in hope of raising additional money for famine relief. The show was a resounding success that also included the 18 designers creating special "Fashion Aid" T-shirts. The shirts were sold as part of the fund raising event and the designs can be seen as part of the Fashion Aid video, originally sold on PAL VHS TAPE." So Fasions Aid's Organizers DID think enough of it to tape it and sell it on video tape. It just is not YET available on DVD!!!! |
