it´s for sure that this topic has been discused before, but i want to know Why Mr May or Mr. Taylor or Mr Deacon arent Sir´s yet, this, in some way, becomes more and more a present issue.
If you compare them to other artists such as Sir Cliff Richard, Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney, Brian hasn't been around quite as long and his style is by and large less folksy. Also Queen got popular just before the punk scene started up, a period the royal family might rather forget.
Eric Clapton is still due a nighthood I think. Brian may not have to wait as long because he has already played on the Queen's roof!
This thread is in the wrong channel btw.
I Queen members have been overlooked.
If you see what they have done for charity, raising Aids awareness and also their music I am surprised they have not got a knighthood.
British patron of bbmda played on the Queens roof, what did Elton do, Cliff do etc Elton played at a funeral for the late Princess of Wales wooppee Cliff plays the odd charity Tennis match, Mick Jagger gets busted for drugs sleeps with Girls young enough to be his grand daughter and churns out crap music and the rest well Roger Daltery.. Eric Clapton..... Perhaps Brian should take up drink, drugs and women come to think of it John qualifies at least an mbe for his services to women and Roger well.. bye
It's a wonderful idea to knight or give MBE's to Brian & Queen...and you KNOW Brian WOULD be THRILLED and FEEL HONORED, as so he was when Queen Elizabeth JUST honored him and most of Britain's musicians last month at Buckingham Palace.
...and Brian thought it was the honor of his life when he played "God Save The Queen" at Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee on TOP of Buckingham Palace.
maybe you all think it's malarky..but I for one...and I'm pretty darn sure...Brian especially, would LOVE for Brian & Queen to be knighted or get MBE's.

Both have blown their chances by employing a Mr Paul Rogers (??)who ? and resurecting a defunct band

Sir Paul McCartney
Technically he is a bass player. Also he was a frontman and main songwriter. And he was in The Beatles. Queen, whilst better in my mind, aren't quite as good The Bealtes in most minds. But what do they know.
Lets see some MBE's. I mean Noddy Holder got one (or something of the sort).
