My wife and I our due with our first baby on May 13th 2005. Which is confirmed within 95% to be a girl.
We have decided to name her Makenna, and our last name is Cummings.
When we were dating, my wife and I, at age 16 (wow, ten years ago)...yeah, I was a Queen fanatic then too. I got to introduce her to the music and videos of Queen... and for my birthdays, my girl would always hook me up with Queen!!
(She bought me 8 remastered Queen cds for my 17th birthday...not bad on part time babysitting money!)
I always joked back then that we would "name all of our kids after Queen members".
Tonight, in the car coming back from the restaurant, I came up with:
Makenna Taylor May Cummings
Honestly, what do you guys think??
Not only do I think the name is cute, but I like it for these reasons:
1) My mother loves the name May.
2) Our baby will be born in May.
3) Brian May
4) My mother-in-laws maiden name was Taylor.
5) I love the name Taylor.
6) Roger Taylor
7) I honestly want to work Deacon, Taylor, May, & Mercury into the middle names of our kids.
HONEST OPINIONS PLEEEASEEE!!
Congratulations Scott!!
I love your choice! One more reason: Aunt May, Peter Parker's aunt!!
Funny, I've always thought that it would be so cool to have a baby so I could name him Freddie. The closest Italian name to the Freddie nick is Federico. I don't particularly like it but I may settle for it if I ever have a baby! But unfortunately, here Federicos are usually nicknamed Fede so I may fail in my attempt anyway! :-). What other names can be shortened to Freddie?

Frederick in England. Not a particuarly nice name - of course you could just call him Freddie!

Right. But it would be hard to pronounce for most Italians. Anyway no baby in sight for now so I'll have plenty of time to find a good Freddie name with you guys if the time ever comes! :-)

I think it is ridiculous... No offence to you personally but I don't understand why people need more than one first-name... One should suffice... Especially if it is such a rare name. Think of all the bad jokes your daughter will have to put up with.
But that's me...

i like this suggestion too...just flows off the tongue quite nicely! Congratualtions by the way!!
Just to clarify-
First name- Makenna
2 middle names- Taylor & May
Last Name- Cummings
Someone suggested there are 2 first names??
You lost me there, as I don't know where that came from....there is only one first name.

Congratulation with the baby !!!!!
I like the name :) It sounds were cute :) I think your daughter will be proud of it when she will know what it stands for :)
I wish i could choose Queen's names for my kids (when i will having them).. but I can only choose Icelandic names here in Iceland so I couldn't choose British names... :P But oh well :) Maby i should just marry a british guy and that will be great ;)
