im going to manchester to see queen+pr and i cant wait because i was too young to go see them in concert first time around, i remember my mum going off to the concerts and leaving me behind sob sob and now ive turned in to a huge queen fan but feel as though ive missed out because i always got left behind!
Anyway i now have a son (nearly 6 but looks more like 8)and im considering taking him to the show, as i dont want him to feel as though he missed out if he grows up to be a huge queen fan too, is this a good or bad idea? id like your opinions please especially from those of you have already taken their kids to concerts before, they would be much appreciated!
thanks

I think it'd be cool to take your son along, especially since he will most likely be old enough to have memories of the show and the experience. Plus, if you felt you missed out, I should expect you wouldn't like him to feel the same way.
Also Queen fans seem to generally be fairly calm and nice people (not like scary Ozzy Osborne fans, you know ;^)), so I should think it would be a pretty good environment for him as well.
Well I can speak from experience.
My mom and sister took me to a Queen show when I was 7. And here it is 28 years later and I can say without a doubt, I'm so glad they did.
Not too many people my age or younger got a chance to see Queen in their prime. I feel very fortunate.
I only have a handful of memories of the event, but still that's enough.
So yeah, take him. Why not.
hopefully you have seats. I would not subject a six year-old to the mad crush, pushing, standing, etc standing on the floor. He would not be able to see anything except the back of peoples knees and/or risk being trampled. You won't be able to take him the toilet if you are standing on the mainfloor.
By all means if you have seats take him to the show..the seating section will be more enjoyable for him and for you!
Yes take him of course.I too was too young in '86 to attend the concert at Slane castle with my sister and I'm still gutted about it. I have my own son now and I wish he was old enough to take to the show at newcastle but he's not one year old until next week. But hey if they continue to tour over the next few years I'll make sure he gets to experience a Queen show. One of the other posters was right though, seated would probably be best. Enjoy.....
Def take him, My parent brought me to see Queen play Slane in 1986, they couldn't get a babysitter cause everyone they knew was going, i was 7 and even though my memory isn't that great i do remember sitting on my dad's shoulders and waving at Freddie (doubt he saw me) and being so amazed by it all and all the people that had come to see these 4 men singing songs my parents had me listening to,but it def made me a huge fan and i thank my parents for bringing me..if i had a kid i would want to share the experience with them too...xx
