Enjoy the show guys!! I'm there with you in spirit. When I hear these shows, I am taken back to 1985, when I saw the real deal 3 nights in a row. Sure, Freddie is gone, but Brian and Roger still have the magic, and this will be a night you will never forget. :) |

I was ia Sazka arena in Prague. It was great, isn't it? I'm from Ukraine it it was my first time I saw the Queen live. Acctually, it was the first time I saw a REALLY GREAT SHOW. This is not my first wisit to Europe, but my first european concert. First of all - the Sazka arena - This venue impressed me very much. When I came there,I was standing in the center of the circle - i looked at the ceiling it was so high, it was so big, so beautiful and new. And I had never seen so many peole gathering in one place nearly 50 000 people in genearally. The perfect arana for such a great gig! I was surprised when instead of "Reaching out" I heard one of the Eminem song's and then I heard the sound Of Brian May gitar. And then it has began. I want to break Free, Fat bottomed girl, Tie your mother down and all the others - see the Play list. But as I remember, there were some changes in it. But when my favourite Bohemian Rapsody played An Freddie appeared on the screen - I was so deeply toched, it's stupid but I've been almost crying during the performans. And then Bryan came to the scene and Paul finished the song. I liked Rodger Tailor singin the time of our life, and during this time some old Queen footage were translating on the screen. And the Ligt with 4 large searchlights and douzen moving lighters. It was a real Glam Rock! It was Great. Even a month ago I couldn't emagin that I'm Gonna sing WeWillRick you together with Brian May! Is this a real life, is that just fantasy... |

I was in Prague too. I think, what I'm saying I'm sure that it was great! I was there with my parnets, two friends (Mark and George -> best wishes guys!) and polish fun-club. When we were waiting outside sazka arena we could feel great atmosphere and some kind of magic. Organisation was ok. When we went inside, of course go shopping ;-) hehe I bought so preety sweatshirt ( I must said here about it cause I'm so happy of it). Ok, next we went to our places -> sektor polocha stani - standing near scene. We got good views. The concerts begun 30 minutes later but we forgot about it ;-) sazka arena wasn't full. On stand were many free places. hehe in vip area we saw waiters hehe! There were about 15.000 people, not 50.000 ( to arena could go inside only 18.000 so 50.000 it's impossieble). Show starts with "it's a beautiful day" ->Lose yourself (eminem) and then Tie your mother down! Crowd of people started to scream and jump! Bohemian sung freddie from tape but it was great. All songs, lights, sounds...everything was great. Paul Rogers vocal could be, but it was not really what I expect. what i'm saying he never will be as freddie , there never will be someone like him, but paul's vocal wasn't bad. What else? of course brian sing love of my life for freddie, all people claps in radio gaga and we will rock you. We were singing, jumping, screaming... In one song sazka arena change into sky and everything went round...incrediebble. Roger sung too and he was good. I must say about long Brian's solo which was prefect! That wasn't concer, it was the show, great show. Scene was alive, all lights, old queen's films! I can't understand people on stand whose were sitting all the time... Show took about 2,5 hours. These hours were the best in my life. See Brian and Roger on live... I'd never dreamed about it. I'm still so excited! Best whishes all! Jude =) |

Yes, I've also bought a very nice red T-shirt Queen+Paul Rogers. Actually I decided to buy it after the concert, so I had to cross over the river of people, who were going away from the Arena. By the way, I was told that there are 90 000 seats in the Sazka arena. I'd like to know the exect number of seats there. About Freddie and Paul -he is not gonna be Freaddy or be instead of Freddie. He is Paul Rodgers sibgibs Queen's songs. In some songs he is really good, in some he is not I didn't like Show must go on. I really engoy Rodger Tailor singing and Brian of course. They were great. It's a pity, that it was (it is for some countries) their last tour. I wish They came to Ukraine, but I'm shure they never would come to us. It was a beautiful tale for a moment. Praga is a beautiful city I'd like it could repeat. |
DragonOnMyBack 21.04.2005 05:44 |
I think it is closer to 19,000 rather than 90,000 seats at the Sazka Arena. The Old Wembley Stadium in the UK was only 72,000 and that is much, much bigger than Sazka. I was at the concert also and it was Great. It all felt a lot more together and free flowing than Brixton at the start of the Tour. I was especially pleased to hear Say It's Not True and Rogers Drum Solo/Jam as these were not performed at Brixton. I think the use of Beautiful Day at the start is definately better than Track 13, although it was nice to hear them use track 13 at the end of the show. I would like to hear a few more different Queen songs as I am sure everyone who are going to multiple concerts would also like. It's a pity that they have not performed Seagull and A little bit of Love recently as I would like to get these as official downloads and it is looking more like this will not happen. Anyway, I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to my next Queen+PR Concert in Birmingham. |
Annastasia 21.04.2005 07:15 |
Lucky you! For me it is the only one cincert, but I've got a really good sovenire from the concert - the play list. From the one side -this is a simple A4 sheet of paper with the songs wih the musicians were going to play. But this is the historical document wich I've taken from the Queen sound engineer. I was standing with the TV cameras. Now It looks a little bit untidy, but it keeps so many memories!!! |
Mr. Scully 21.04.2005 07:39 |
LOL, I got one Prague setlist myself (also from the lighting/sound engineers :-) And got it signed by the whole band later. |
DragonOnMyBack 21.04.2005 08:26 |
Annastasia, yes it cost me a fair bit of money but I don't regret booking any of concerts one bit. I guess it is a little easier to get to multiple concerts when you come from the UK than it is in from the Ukraine. It was my first time to Prague and had a really good weekend all round. Despite the really beautiful city the highlight was still Saturday Night at the Saska Arena. Nice to see that people are getting some good souvenirs. I have not got anything like that yet although I was pretty close to where Roger threw his drumstick at the end of the concert. I guess I may still have a couple of opportunties before the Tour is over. |
Jude 21.04.2005 13:33 |
signed by the whole band? it's incredibble, how did you do it? are you going to be on every concert? you're lucky guy, for me was difficult to get on prague concert, i couldn't dream about all... i'm whishing you great fun and i hope you will write us rewiev and someday you get this drumstick I see that everyone who was on prague concert enjoy it, that dosen't suprise me ;-) best whishes! |
Annastasia 22.04.2005 05:59 |
O, this is not a little easier to get to multiple concerts when you come from the UK than it is in from Ukraine. It is really incredibly hard and quite expencive. There were many russion and ukrainian people in Praga, but only a few of them at the concert. Actually, I'd like to visit some more concertes, but I'm really happy that I was able to se that Great Glam show in Praga. Now I'm sitting in the red Queen+Paul Rogrs T-shirt, looking at the play list clipped under my computer and remembering those great concert moments. I wish I could see the bend a little bit closer. During the first part of the concert I was in the middle of the "dance arena" and then I climbed at the top where the sound was incredibly clean and deep and perfect, but I could hardly see something on the stage. But I don't regret about it at all. By the way, for those who have visitwed all the shows or some shows it is very interesting, wahat show in what city was the best. On Praga concert I've met some guys from Poland. They've toured two concert -in Vienna and Praga, and I've got aquinted with the young man whow have toured all the concerts from the beginning. So some people have told me that concer in Praga was the best among all the others for that time. So I'm waiting for your replias with pession. Wish you get a drum stick or the signature |
DragonOnMyBack 22.04.2005 06:28 |
I am not going to all the concerts but did manage to get tickets for 6 of them (all but Prague are in the UK, so only been to 2 so far). My full list is Brixton, Prague, Birmingham, Cardiff, Wembley and Hyde Park. Out of the two I have seen already Prague was the best. I think eveyone in the band was a bit out of practice at Brixton and the setlist order was not ideal, which disrupted the general flow of the concert. The setlist order is much better now. What I did like in Brixton was the crowds singing and the fact they played Seagull and A Little Bit Of Love. I would like to see those two songs again before the tour finishes + obviously some different queen tracks that have not played yet. But I also loved Say It's Not True and Roger's Drum Solo/Jam in Prague that were not played in Brixton. Also Brixton did not have the full lighting show or walkway (due to the size of venue) which worked very well in Prague. I am especially happy that I got tickets to Brixton and Hyde Park because I think those shows did(Brixton) and will(Hyde Park) have a different feel to the others due to the venue size. ( ie. Brixton/small, Hyde Park/Large, Rest Of Tour/Medium ). I think you get different things from different size venues. |

Thanks for your replay! Will you write the review after the Hide Parck concert? It is interesting to know |
DragonOnMyBack 23.04.2005 05:07 |
Yeah, I will probably put a review up for all the concerts I am going to see on the rest of the Tour under this forum somewhere. |
Annastasia 23.04.2005 14:42 |
Everybody, who is interested in program about Praga concert. Sunday, 24. 04. (tomorrow) Broadcasting company Ukraina (sattelite channel, sattelite Sirius 1) 10. 00 in Chech republic (11.00 ukrainian time). |
Mr. Scully 23.04.2005 20:33 |
Could anybody tape the Ukrainian TV show? Because I was interviewed by the TV crew so I'm just curious if they used my interview or not :-) There's no way we can catch a signal of the Ukraine TV here in CZ :-) |
Annastasia 25.04.2005 07:19 |
MR. Scully - I've used all the interviews I had (it was me - the girl who interved you) So your words were in this Queen program. All the interviews are really good I really engjy it. It's a pity that only a few people have spoken in English and have agreed to give an interview. By the way, are you from ?Z? |
Annastasia 25.04.2005 07:20 |
CZ I mean |
Mr. Scully 25.04.2005 08:00 |
Ah, so you were the girl :-) Annastasia, any chance you could send me a videotape or DVD with this program? I would pay the postage cost or send you something Queen-related in advance. Please get in touch (webmaster@queenconcerts.com). Or will there be a reprise of this TV programme? My friend recorded part of it here in CZ but it was AFTER the interviews, he started recording late :-( |
Annastasia 26.04.2005 06:50 |
But you recorded the concert itself, don't you. It is interesting to Know what do you think about it. It is interesting to know, who you are, because I've taken a lot of interviews. Probably you remember what did you say? I'm sure we will broadcast it one more time and I will tell you when. If not, I'll think about sending it to you. First of all I should retape it in VHS format. |
Mr. Scully 26.04.2005 07:01 |
I had a black "Queen On Tour" T-shirt so I'm sure you'll recognize me on the tape somewhere. Please let me know when it's broadcasted again. I have of course recorded the gig myself but only audio - and I haven't come across a complete video yet. That's why even snippets from your TV are interesting for me (Czech TV apparently wasn't allowed to record). |
Annastasia 26.04.2005 11:17 |
Actually, there were 3 more cameras (TV crews) from your local TV, if I'm not mistaken (but probably, I am :) I have some good news for you. We have just decided to broadcast the program again. So, turn on your TV on Sunday, may 8 (in 2 weeks) I'll tell you the time a little bit later, probably, closer to the date of the repeating, it is near 10.00 according to CZ time. Don't forget/ But the hole program is in Russian - you may have many difficulties with the language, or you do know it? Just curious. By the way, you were the first guy in my long Queen fans' interview list :) About recordings from Prague concert - is there the way for me to get it? Or maybe Queen are going to relise a CD from this tour??? |
Mr. Scully 27.04.2005 02:23 |
I can speak only a few words Russian, I studied it for half a year when I was like 10 years old ;-) I haven't come across any full video recording yet. If you're interested in audio recording, we can do a little trade for the footage that you filmed in Prague (would you be able to send me VHS PAL?). |
Annastasia 27.04.2005 05:21 |
I don't know the scheme of the sending. Im ready because I'm really interested in your audio,(by the way, is the quality of it OK?), but I should think and ask smb. |
Mr. Scully 29.04.2005 09:10 |
Annastasia - could you please email me? webmaster@queenconcerts.com Also I'd like to know if you recorded more footage than just Fat Bottomed Girls. How about the intro (Eminem / Reachin' Out / Tie Your Mother Down)? |
