Bo Bice has no vocal power, he has no vocal control, and he has no sense of relative pitch.... meaning he hasn't a clue if he's in D , E , or what modulation the song may need. Nope, he ruined a classic song with he Ronnie Van Zandt meets a Creed/Pearl Jam wannabe Seattle circa 1993 voice of his... Erin- Nope... Idol is a bubble gum pop candy show. Any REAL rocker wouldn't be caught dead on American Idol. Constantine and Bo are average lounge/bar singers at best with an idenity crisis. When your voice is as weak as Bo's and Constantine's....you have to pick one style, and pray you can make it. Constantine tries to act like he's some vocal powerhouse ..ie: Mercury, Aretha Franklin, etc... that can master any style of singing, because he's "that good". If Bo or Constantine asked me to be in a band with them tomorrow, I'd politely turn them down. Not that I do.... but I know they don't have the IT factor. Carrie will probably win. Anwar & Vonzell will both be right there at towards the end. |

I wasn't able to watch it last night, because I was out seeing "Les Miz"! But my mom taped it. I called her at the intermission, because I thought she forgot. I don't think I would have minded someone on American Idol singing Bohemian Rhapsody if it hadn't been Constantine. He's my least favorite contestant. He apparently has a large girl fanbase, which I don't understand. He has yellow teeth, it looks like he hasn't showered for weeks, and he has a butt chin! |

constantine couldn't hit the high notes as gracefully...he was more performance than vocal and little overdramatic. he actually looked angry u know, just pushing it a bit too much but come on, will anyone on Idol ever meet up to our standards? i was just waiting to see the message board so i can read about how everyone hated it (unsurprisingly) :P and tracheotomy boy sang "everytime u go away" by Paul Young, who, by the way, butchered Radio Ga Ga lol |

I taped it that night...I guess I could upload the video to my site one of these days if people really want it (I work at Fox and *have* to watch American Idol..at least I get paid for it ;). He did do better than every other person I've seen attempt to do Queen on TV in the last few years, but it still wasn't very good. Woulda been cool if he had cut off his microphone stand :) And whenever they edit the song (it was 1:30), the tempo changes sound like such a jarring mess. (There was no opera section.) |

God himself could come down and sing Bohemian Rhapsody on American Idol, and we would hate it. Why? Because we're used to Freddie Mercury. We like Freddie Mercuy. Not God. We find it disgraceful that any hopefull person (Constatine) would be horrible enough to play a song that is obviously above his level. :D |

And I saw Freddie sing Bohemian Raphsody 3 times live and Constantine, considering he only had less than a week to practice the song, sang it live, and with an AI band to accompany him, did a great job on that song. And I've listened to the mp3 - he is not out of tune at all. |
