Just as it says in the Question - Why Wire Daisies?
I have been a Queen Collector for longer than I care to remember.
I have bought Queen/Solo/Collaborations. I have bought tracks because they have been especially written by "Queen" (Anita Dobson and Minako Honda Spring to mind), produced by "Queen" (Anyone remember Sigue Sigue Sputnik) and hell - I have even moved into Cover versions simply because they are covers of Queen (will I ever recover from Queen Mania?)
Now; I am spammed by Queen Productions enticing me to spend even more of my money on one of Jim Beech's newer artistes - "Wire Daisies" - but why?
WTF has any of this to do with Queen - and what is the connection?
In case I am missing something - does Brian appear as a guest session musician? Did Roger write, produce or mix the project in any way? Did they cover a Queen/solo track as some b-track? Was there EVER any connection?
(And while we are at it - why Catherine Porter?)
Other than coming from the Jim Beech stable - can someone please give me a single reason I should buy stuff from the "Wire Daisies"?

WIRE DAISIES NEW SINGLE
'Everyman' is the latest single by the Wire Daisies and is out now!
This has proved the most popular release by the band so far receiving multiple plays on Radio 2 and Capital ('Everyman' was played after Queen's 'These Are the Days Of Our Lives' and were billed as Roger Taylor's proteges!), as well as being playlisted on stations all around the UK.
If you have iTunes installed on your PC you can download the Everyman radio edit now for just 79p!
If you don't have iTunes, then for 99p you can download the single PLUS a bonus track 'Leave Me Falling' by clicking this link: link
The Wire Daisies have been confirmed as support for selected dates on the Mel C, tour and have also just signed to EMI Records throughout Europe.
Treana Morris is the lead singer of Wire Daisies. She was 'discovered' by Roger, and was made to be a support act of his during the Electric Fire tour at the end of the 1990's. She sang with Roger on "Under Pressure" on the tour, and has appeared with Queen a few times live since.
She also sang vocals on "Invincible Hope" (both versions) with Queen
Inu Yasha: "Treana Morris is the lead singer of Wire Daisies... She sang with Roger... and has appeared with Queen... She also sang vocals on "Invincible Hope..."
Thanks. Yes - I know all that, and, I have some of the SAS bootlegs which she appears on. But apart from the fact that she has APPEARED with Queen - why else should I buy this stuff?
I mean, I have NO intention to buy any MORE "5ive", "Vanguard" or Robbie Williams - so why "Wire Daisies"?
Well, I think it's because QOL thinks that we will buy ANYTHING they tell us.. as long as it is remotely related to Queen.. I USED to be that way, but now.. I have a hard time even wanting to buy the 30th version of the Greatest Hits.
NOTE: my mention of the "30th" version of GH is just a joke.. I know that there have only been 22 version so far. ;-)
I have the "Naked" CD, but I think that is Roger related enough, cause she played those songs on the Electric Fire tour. Don't think I would let the Queen-relatedness stretch far enough to buy a Wire Daisies CD, though.

Even though I think you could benefit from a few night-classes, I think that I totally agree with the above opinion!
