Just out of interest, call me dumb, but why did Queen not do any more BBC sessions after NOTW? Or if they did, why are they not available? |
| Carrots Of The Piratebean 12.04.2005 16:36 |
KYA, sessions 1 and 3 are still available on CD so do yourself a favour and delete these files heres the proof link |
| AC 12.04.2005 16:38 |
Keep Yourself Alive wrote: Except for The March Of The Black QueenThe BBC version of "The March Of The Black Queen" is EXACTLY the same as the studio version... there are NO differences... In fact you could put here the Queen II verison and that would be the BBC version, but please don't do that as it would still be considered as an official release (I think). And please remove the session 1 and 3, they are officially released. |

Thanks a lot, but...are you sure the flick of the wrist version is not faked? it seems almost the same, except a really terrible guitar solo of which I don't think Brian would do... |

Bollocks! This IP xxx.xx.xx.xx is not allowed to use the free-service anymore today. We detected very extreme downloads. Don't worry! This has not to be your fault. Maybe you use a proxy-server. Like hell that is me. Thats all those twats who download porn but it says I'm downloading them! What a load of shit. |
| greantings 15.05.2005 18:28 |
Thanks! A great post... Would love to get 'White Queen' (this BBC take is fantastic), 'Nevermore' and a few others I haven't heard in long time in lossless format as well, but this is almost as good. :-) Cheers! |

You so pathetic... you are here only cause you want to donwload files... and you beg for official releases! So, when this site will be closed down because of you, where will you download our files? |
| Val 21.06.2005 06:50 |
Many thanks Keep yourself alive for White Queen!! I think this session (session 4 on April 3, 1974) is the best of the unreleased session: Nevermore and White Queen, Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll: 3 of the best songs of Queen!! What do you think? What is your preferred BBC session? |
| Fairy 21.06.2005 09:22 |

BBC = British Broadcasting Corporation |
| bitesthedust 21.06.2005 14:21 |
I fully agree with that, 100 %. |
| Lord Fickle 21.06.2005 14:41 |
Could someone please re-upload Melancholy Blues and We Will Rock You from Session 6? Many thanks. :) |
| Fairy 21.06.2005 15:05 |
I know British Broadcasting Corporation. I just can't understand what it has to do with Queen recordings. |
| Lord Fickle 21.06.2005 15:15 |
Fairy wrote: I know British Broadcasting Corporation. I just can't understand what it has to do with Queen recordings.I'll assume you're not taking the piss out of us, and explain. In the 70s, Queen went into the studios of BBC radio stations, and recorded 'alternative' versions of the songs on their, at the time, latest albums, as a sort of promotional excercise. These were broadcast on BBC Radio in the UK (here on Earth), and thus spawned these sessions, some of which have been officially released, and some which have not. It is the 'have nots' which you will find here. |
| Fairy 21.06.2005 15:40 |
If by "you're not taking the piss out of us," you mean that I was making fun of you no...I really didn't know LOL! Thanks |
| Fairy 21.06.2005 15:42 |
Ps. If the UK is Earth, is Italy the Sun??!! LOL |
| Lord Fickle 21.06.2005 16:56 |
I think that here in the UK, we assume that the BBC is known worldwide, and beyond! :) |
| inu-liger 21.06.2005 19:20 |
We know about the BBC in Canada. In fact, our Bell ExpressVu satellite service actually offers BBC Kids, which even includes the crappy TOTP program. |
| inu-liger 21.06.2005 19:21 |
Plus we also have the Canadian version of the BBC in Canada, called CBC |
| Fairy 22.06.2005 04:00 |
LOL in Italy we do know about the BBC. But I guess in the UK you don't know what RAI is!! :-)) |
| Fairy 24.06.2005 05:44 |
OK as I suspected nobody knows. RAI is Italian national radio and TV. Here on the Sun! LOL |
| Fairy 24.06.2005 08:40 |
Big applause for the Dutch!!! Yes there's RAI1, and also RAI2 and RAI3! |
| Ale_Pisa 24.06.2005 20:40 |
Yes, here in the sun we have Rai 1, Rai 2 and Rai 3 but Rai 3 is different! In Rome they saw Rai 3 Lazio and in Florence they saw Rai 3 Tuscany! Strange place the sun... ops, the Italy! :) My english is very poor! |
| Criss3287 02.07.2005 05:45 |
Hey there, could any kind soul reupload the not working BBC songs? Which are following: Keep yourself alive Liar See what a fool I've been Ogre Battle (intro) Modern Times Rock'n' Roll My Melancholy Blues We will rock you It seems I got kinda late to this forum, so most of the links are dead now. Cheers, Criss |
| Lord Fickle 02.07.2005 06:06 |
Here's the 1977 Sessions. This is all four tracks in a 16.4Mb .zip file. I think these are slightly better quality than those originally posted, but unfortunately only encoded at 128kbps. link |

Thanks for that repost, but apparently it says Unexpected Archive End... |
| Criss3287 06.07.2005 05:31 |
Oh I solved the problem already! I paused with downloading a bit and therefore the file s not complete, cause pausing doesn't seem to be allowed while downloading from rapidshare... |
| FredMerBul 07.07.2005 20:39 |
The sessions have been deleted. Maybe somebody have the files. Could it be possible to upload them again? (what about torrent?) Thanx a lot! |
| Suigi 07.08.2005 23:15 |
Listening to the White Queen tune, it doesn't sound like it's not a live version. It's still beautiful. If someone could please repost the BBC sessions that aren't official, it would be very much appreciated. |

Criss3287 wrote: Thanks for that link, but that site sucks, cause I can't read Russian...You don't need to - just click the >>> by the track you want, then right click the 'Save' button (Floppy Disc icon), and Save Target As... I've heard better quality than what's on that site though. |
| Suigi 09.08.2005 18:43 |
Bumping again: I'll post the unreleased Sessions 2, 5 and 6 here in a day or two. I'll see if I can find some better-quality versions out there, as well as complete Session 4. That being said, WWRY Fast is included at the end of Session 6. And oh my god, it's the clean studio version we've been hunting for. A little slow, but it's there. |
| Lord Fickle 09.08.2005 19:12 |
I posted Session 6 a couple of weeks ago - should still be up there on RapidShare:-

Actually, I have a file with both versions, along with a reading of some kind. link |

Look, I know YET AGAIN, I've arrived too late for the it's-legal-it's-not-legal row, and the slagging, the insults, the bitchin' and fightin' etc. But can I just say: Thanks for uploading those - I have them all on vinyl, but with a lack of energy to put them over from vinyl to digital, it's very nice to download the fast-ending Spread your Wings. Just fab - thanks again. Cheers Paul |

There was no "official" bitching in this topic because sessions 2,4,5 and 6 were never for sale. Sessions 1 and 3 are official (and even in print!!!!!). Are you planing on being a surrogate prison bitch for Richard if he ends up in legal trouble. Richard made the sharing rules for his own protection. As a Queenzone guest, you should respect his rules even if you do not agree with the rules. |

double post |
| Saint Jiub 10.08.2005 22:56 |
Pirating, sharing or downloading official material that is readily available commercially is pathetic, and it gives the record industry ammunition to abuse paying customers (for example using shoddy copy protection to prevent listening on multiple devices like iPods in addition to CD players). |
