I have read and heard at least 3 different stories, all in supposedly reliable sources from Queen CD liner notes, to articles, to interviews, about what or who inspired Queen to write "One Vision".
1) Their triumphant performance at Live Aid
2) Martin Luther King
3) Some Prime Minister or Leader of a nation or in England
Which story is accurate?

Actually, I think that's a 4th story I've heard. And I'm not sure if Queen wrote it FOR "Iron Eagle", or if they had already written it, but then used it afterwards for "Iron Eagle".
Originally, Roger had a Martin LUther King idea, then "they changed my words" which brought the Live Aid experience into the equation a little, although it's not solely about that - "Some PR person got the wrong end of the stick. I went bananas when I saw that".
Both quotes are by Roger
