Which season is it of The Simpsons that has the episode with the part where Homer sings "I Am The Champion" (to the tune of "We Are The Champions")?
I'd like to know rather badly
Ah. That's one of the seasons I DON'T own on DVD! (I only have seasons 1 and 3!)
Thanks for that info!
I'll see about renting it from Blockbuster sometime then!

Basically, Homer and Marge have marital troubles, so Marge takes Homer on a trip to a lake resort with the Reverend Lovejoy, to try and improve their relationship.
Homer was made to promise that he would not go fishing, but he does, and goes in search of that hugeass fish (forget what it's called), and at the part where he catches it, he is rowing back to the dock singing:
"I am the champion!
I am the champion!
No time for losers!
Cos I am the champion
Of the woooooooorrrrrrrrlllllllddd!"
This is where he finds out Marge found out he was fishing.
Oh yeah ok I remember this... you know recently I saw an episode where Moe become Maggie's best friend... did you guys see it? Cause there's the song You're my best friend playing in that episode :)

Where's that ??? in what episode ?? I HAVE to see that !!
It's at the end of season 14, an episode called Moe Baby Blues.
Not one of the best IMHO...Moe gets suicidal, saves Maggie's life by sheer luck, he starts spending lots of time with her, Marge and Homer get jealous. But they do play Queen indeedy.
Sure am.
Sorry I was too late to contribute to the thread.
About the writing going to hell - I think they are on the up-swing. There was a dull period there for a while.
I always look for Q refs in the Simpsons!

As compared to what? American Idol? Survivor? Whatever the hell that wife swapping show was? Big Brother? Or my personal favourite, the show that follows property inspectors around? :P
Bad Simpsons is still infinitely superior to damn near everything else on TV these days. Networks only ever cancel good shows, so I guess the Simpsons crew decided to dumb it down, heh heh. That makes me fear for the future of Scrubs. It's too good. It's days are surely numbered :(
I agree that th Simpsons is nowhere near as good now - half the time I'll watch the new eps and the next day not have a clue what it was about - but then I also agree that shit Simpsons is better than almost anything else from America. I hope that they know when to stop though.
Season 4, "Duffless," I believe, Homer sings the line "Stayed up listening to Queen" with an ANATO poster on the wall. Yet another Queen moment... heh.

What's that ? I don't think I ever saw it... what happens in the episode ????
Homer finds a hidden letter from Marge, written, I think, just before they married, anyhoo, 2 cut a long story short, he had just been out on the piss, she was annoyed, wrote a letter to herself, he found the note and left her to flat-share in gay village, Marge seeks him out with Weird A Althinky and story goes on.... bet ure glad u asked!
One quote from Family Guy, after Stewie sneds a baby down a trap door in a sandbox...
"Steve walks merrily down the street with his brim pulled way down low!"

Yeah, to the tune of Frank Sinatra's "It was a very good year"
Not aware of ALL these Simpsons Queen references. I'll have to rent the DVD's I guess.
