I have heard some of the tunes played in the concerts, being by bootleg video/audio recording, or by these new clips from QOL.
I must admit that i rather like his voice, and SOME songs do feel nice. There are others that i really lack emotion and most of all : ENERGY.
This was what QUEEN was all about in the shows : POWER - ENERGY - THRILL !
Freddies voice, Brian Solos, Roger drums - all very fast and powerfull.
I dont see this in Paul, and for that i am sorry.
I particulary like this new guy :
Electric Six with their version of Radio Ga Ga link
See the video, its quite funny.
Why didnt they tour'ed with this guy ? He's fab!
They didn't "tour'ed" with Electric 6 man because he is shit and has a crap voice.
You obviously arent listening to properly to Paul. How doesn't he have energy? I admit I had my doubts at the start but I was proved wrong. Paul's voice suits almost every song! And I never realised what great songs he has in his back catalogue. I mean everyone has heard of 'Alright Now' and 'Can't Get Enough Of Your Love' but 'A Little Bit Of Love', 'Seagull' and especially 'Feel Like Making Love' are just brilliant. I have heard of the latter before but never really paid that much attention to it. I think it's brilliant.
I just downloaded Fat Bottomed Girls from Paris off Queen Downloads and it's fantastic. Perfect sound quality ofcourse and it sounds superb. Roger drums as hard as he every has. The whole band rock like a bastard. And the vocals at the start are perfect.
Electric 6 is crap.
HOWEVER, to play Devil's Advocate, if this guy was going to cover a song from The Works, he'd be far better off doing I Want to Break Free. Radio Gaga is a beautiful song really, simplistic but the melody is marvellous and this twit stomped all over it like a bulldozer. If he wanted rough and raucous stupidity, he could have done it with a song like I Want to Break Free. Simple.
