The concert started at approx 21:35 (i'm sure) and ended approx 23:40 (not so sure aobut this, could be also 23:35 or 23:45).
The setlist is not right, I'm sure Feel Like Making Love was played before I Want It All and A Kind Of Magic, although I can't remember which of this two songs was played first (maybe it was 1) Feel Like 2) Magic 3) Want and not 1) Feel Like 2) Want 3) Magic, I'm not sure about this).
The concert was great! Brian was enthusiast of the interaction with the audience on 39 and Love of My Life, he told it clearly!!!
Sooner or later I will post the exact words...
Roger was excellent on I'm In Love With My Car!!! Last Horizon was superb, and also the duet of Brian and Roger on These Are The Days was a surprise!
And Hammer To Fall keeps beeing a wonderful song, thanks Brian for writing such a masterpiece!
Brian changed the words of the ending of 39, from "Pity Me" to "God Bless Us", I don't know if he did it also at Brixton and Paris...
Btw... ZUCCHERO was present at the concert... he was sitting on the left side of tribune/first ring, among the audience, but he did not perform anything.
He went towards the backstage during the end of the show, after WWRY...
Terrific show, I'm still in heaven...
The crowd was FANTASTIC, many times our voices covered Paul.
Many many young people indeed, not like at the Brixton.
And tomorrow... Florence and then Pesaro!
Ciao!!
Hehe... indeed Milano ROCKED!!
Most of you know about my thoughts after the Brixton show, but yesterday was an incredible relief! So, sorry guys, 'no' I am NOT going to sell all my other tickets! ;-)))
Thank God the intro got cut and also the stupid dancing puppets during Radio Ga Ga were dropped. (Or was that because of thechnical faillure? - First part of Bo Rhap the video did not work either...)
Also I realy need to say that the change of running order of the songs, made a MAJOR difference to the feel of the show as opposed to Brixton. And the guys are realy getting warmed up now.
What a night!!
Oh yes, this show also started with one minute silence for the Pope. Amazing: one moment earlier the whole Forum was going absolutely bonkers =you Italians are LOUD!!!= and next thing I know it was so quiet I could actually hear myself breathing!
I had a great time with my Italian friends and pleased to meet some more after the gig. Leonardo, Willy, Giorgio, Stefano: Mille grazie per l'opitalite!
Luca: nice to finally meet you in real life. CU in Frankfurt! Ciao
Now, where was that camel...???
Is it something to be proud of for the crowd to sing so loud that you can't hear the actual vocals?? In my opinion-No. I like to hear the vocals -not some drunk guy standing next to me singing out of tune all night long Sorry, I guess my expectations of having a good time/a sucessful concert differs..I don't pay $100.00 for crowd sing along- I can go to a Queen Karakoe for that.
Setlist was (according to me):
1 minutew of silence as a sign of respect for the death of the Pope.

Yes, jeroen, it was really moving. There was loudness and movement, holas, crowd waves, and then in a few seconds there was the deepest silence, really no sound for one minute!
If I've heard right the track 13 intro was cut because of the mourning. That's also why no background music was played during the hours before the beginning of the concert. Anyway a few seconds of the track 13 intro were played anyway... and they had been mixed with a horrible song by Eminem, the one that goes "the music, you better never let it go". I will never understand why they did so! Did they do it also in Brixton?
Some further remarks:
mnbjhguyt: I don't know the kind of clock you had but I'm sure the concert ended about at 23:40 and not at midnight.
Two Sharp Pencils: yes, it was a surprise because I would have never expected that Brian and Roger shared vocals on These Are The Days like on the George Michael / Lisa Stansfield duet...
Compliance Queen: yes, if it were like you've said I would have disliked if someone sang out of tune in my ears louder than the amplifications. Anyway I don't think we Italians are a crowd just able to cry out loud without listening to the music, it wasn't like this for me. And in the end I think that when the artists have the support of the audience they have a lot of satisfaction. Brian thanked us when we started to cry "Brian May - Brian May - Brian May - Brian May..." before Love of My Life. He asked to help him to sing the song for Freddie, and it was fabulous to see all those flames waving while he played.
And also Roger on the Wembley dvd interview said that he doesn't like when an artist goes on stage with that attitude of "Ok, shut up now and listen to my art". He likes and expects the audience's participation. I think we gave them a lot of support in Milan.
Brian said "I would have never thought we would be still touring around in 2005, and if we are here tonight it's thanks to you. This means the spirit of Queen is still alive, and it's alive in you!"
Maybe he says these words to all the venues, but I think that the audience of Milano really deserved them, and I'm happy to have helped him and Roger to feel moved and still satisfied at their age!
No they ran to the backstage just after the bow on God Save The Queen... I think nobody would have managed to have an autograph or a photo with them. Me, AC and Hitman did not.
There is a 5-stars hotel right next to the Forum, they left straight after the show (in company of Zuccero)
(Oh, yes, and ideed the show ended at 23.40. At twelve we were already outside having a well-deserved cool beer! ;-)
