Is it just me or does anybody else feels like brian and roger of this tour are not the same as they used to be? by looking at previous tours-like magic and hot space-it seems they have changed a lot. I know 20 years have passed but still-this is a very big change.... It seems just like they dont have the same energy....
well the difference now is that they feel that they have to be the leaders of the band, and that's why they're acting a little weird, mostly Brian. This new band is really weird to me. The setlists just don't sound very, there's no connection between the songs, it's really mess. I think Freddie would be really mad if he saw this new tour. Queen was pretty much a flawless band on stage man, and now it's too messy, the songs don't connect, the singer is always forgeting the lyrics and can't communicate to the audiences, well neither does brian I must say. So far I'm really disappointed, but there's still hope that this thing is gonna work.
i agree that the set list is a bit of strange one, if you know what i mean.
freddie always said that you got to start off by blowing the crowd a way with the first couple of songs, TYMD yes REACH no. i've not seen the show yet but have heard the download thats doing the rounds. and the live downloads sound amazing.
well it's not only the songs that don't connect, the vocalist cant also connect to the audience, wich makes the setlist even worst, cause there's always a lot of space between them.
Was anybody in a Brian May Band gig?
I particularly remember the first one, the Back to the Light Tour (in Madrid). Ok, the venue was a small one (attendance of about 2000 people) but it was wild! Brian was at his best and the crowd... There was much more magic in that concert than in this tour. Brian looked truly moved by the crowd's reaction. But as I said, it could have been that that was a small place and all of us were diehard fans
