As for the setlist...
I would to quote John Fogerty:
"It's like déjà vu all over again"
Why do they publish a set list for each performance? They are all identical and if it weren't for the popoe they wouldnt have played LOMF tonight...
I am still disappointed that they are trying to replay 86's lives...kind of...
Would have been nice to hear breakthrough, Bijou instead of Brighton rock...Except a three songs written after 86 it is only old stuff already played many times...
It's Late would have been nice too...
I am wondering what would the band had played in 2005 if FM were still among us? He would have played more of Innuendos and the Miracle stuff I guess.

I totally agree with you. Plus, if Freddie was still alive and they were still touring, they certainly would have produced lots of new great material, don't you think? In his interviews Freddie kept saying how you never reach your limit because there is always something new to try. He hated boredom!

Freddie would be like 60 now, and no way in hell he would be touring, so if he was alive today, we would be just bitching in these topics saying why dont Roger and Brian find some one to tour with so we can hear the Queen songs again since Freddie and John have retired!
Do you forget Paul is not FM ?
These songs fit Paul's profile and taste, as so does the rest of the band.
One could like to hear Innuendo by FM's voice, and HATE it in Paul's voice. They will not risk it....unless they think it sounds good....
Think about it, its Queen + PR .... dont compare it to Freddie, it is not fair.

Maybe. But new Queen material would exist anyway. He wouldn't be playing the same stuff again and again. But PR is not FM. I guess some songs would even be too difficult for PR to sing.

LOL
Yeah.... watch the 46664 video and see if you can count how many time PR forgets the lyrics !!
Not to mention he keeps looking at the video screen and seems like KARAOKE singing to me !!!??
Jesus .... he doesnt know the lyrics of Ww are the Champions ????? Does he have Alzeimer ???
Thats the only negative point i find in him though, i like everything else. Maybe with the shows and with the practice, he learns all the lyrics by the time he gets to Portugal !
While I completely respect the concept that they chose songs that fit Paul's voice,
doesn't it seem a little odd that they ALL seem to be mainstream - and old?
I never really expected anything like FFMS, Do2L, or IGSM (though I'd love any of them), I did expect at least a couple "gems".
I'm not complaining. If they come to the US with the same setlist, I'll see 'em and love it.
