I think Roger is a wonderful drummer and he had great drumkits. Mostly of the time big drumkits. Most of them sounded nice but there are examples of kits which I think they don't sound full like the drumkit for the WWRY dvd. Also his kit for the Works tour wasn't very great. But the rests of his drumkits were great. My favourite ones are from the ADATR tour, Jazz tour, the grazy tour and the Hot Space tour. For the first (Hot Space tour) time his electronical drums sounded great, like live at the bowl. His drumkits were mostly Ludwig. He used a lot of cymbals during his career, but my favourites are from Zildjian. They are simply the best cymbals in the world.
His new drumkit for the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour is also really great. It's sounds big and full and it has rototoms and his china again :D. Back to the old days !!!
What do you think about his drumkits ?
It would have to be the huge kit from A Day at the Races era as they sounded the best especially in songs like White Man. Close and I mean close would have been the Jazz/Live Killers setup. He had plenty of goodies to play with and USED them too!

well the drumkit Roger uses at the moment and on this tour, also used in WE Will Rock You the musical- the drumkit used is:
Sleishman:
His kit is 8x8 10x10 12x12 13x13 14x14 16x16 18x18 24x20 26x 20. 14x5 14x6.5
His snares cost 9700 Aust$ alone!
I agree. I think he had the best drum sound in 1982 and again this year. I'm so so so glad he es the only drummer on this tour and that he is in such a fine shape. He really is drumming as in the old days, only Love With My Car is a little weak. TYMD eg has the most powerful drumming ever! Great man!
Honestly, I think that the set from the WWRY concert is the best. I dont like HS's set because of the electrics. He overused them (IE Dragon Attack) but the toms on WWRY sounded out of tune but they sounded great..
For looks, id say either Live Killers or ADATR.
