One of the reasons Queen were such a successful band was because of their chemistry.(As we all know.) After watching some of their live performances, I would definitely say that, on stage, Freddie and Brian had the greatest amount of chemistry going on. Or is this just my imagination?
yeah, it seems all great bands have it.
I remember Jimmy page saying of Led Zeppelin's first jam. They played for half an hour then stopped and looked at each other and cracked up laughing. Thet just knew something special had just happened.
Same with Queen. The four of them just click musically. Brilliantly.
Of course there must have been a strong chemistry between four of them... BUT when I watch their live acts, I always get this feeling... like John was somewhat of "an island"... a little bit allienated, reserved, distant from the rest of the group... without some noticeable interaction with them.
Honestly, if I had to narrow it down to one pair....I'd say that Freddie & Roger had great on stage chemistry. They seem to always be "checking" with each other in a sense.
I agree. Queen had incredible and explosive chemistry. They just exuded it all over the stage.
Freddie and Brian obviously had the most fireworks going on between them and they really knew how to work the audience off their dynamic. The electricity, charisma betwen them was awesome.
But I agree, all 4 members were as 1 unit that had an incredible dynamic. Replace or lose any single member, and it would have thrown that chemistry right out the door.
Freddie, Brian, Roger, and John...are Queen still to this day. Let's just say...I go see Queen+Paul Rodgers...and maybe I LOVE it. Well that's all well and good. Great even.
But the magic of the ORIGINAL 4 members...what they brought to the plate musically, in terms of talent, their camaraderie, their friendship, their natural warmth and sense of humor, their showmanship, their intuitive sense of timing and versatility as musicians, and...
well some people have "Chemistry" together and some don't.
But Freddie, Brian, Roger & John...they were s Supernova!!!! You can't duplicate that. It was and IS still special.
