Thanks Richard, Agnepath and Flash00. Now I know it works, I'll try with another account. Maybe the antispam policy of my ISP stopped their message. Cheers, Ogre- |

sorry to be a wet blanket, but arent these tracks going to be released by queenonline, with all the profits going to charity. It would seem that downloads like this are both illegal and wrong. |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 04.04.2005 07:23 |
Got it, folks! Thank you for the support! I guess all I needed to do was provide another e-mail address, because my normal one was refusing the message from the site. :) The sound is not soundboard, of course, but it is great, given the circunstances! I'm rocking hard here!!! :D Monkberry, thank you so much!!! Cheers, Ogre- |

Eoin wrote: sorry to be a wet blanket, but arent these tracks going to be released by queenonline, with all the profits going to charity. It would seem that downloads like this are both illegal and wrong.Only selected songs from shows are going to be available in WMA-format sometime in the dist..erhm near future, not entire concerts. They are of course in "superior" *cough* quality and us downloading crappy audience recordings is not taking anything away from them. Oh my sides are aching... |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 04.04.2005 07:25 |
Eoin, I understood that Queenonline has promissed to release "some" tracks, but has not done it yet. This is almost the full show, and it is not soundboard quality. It certainly will not prevent me from buying the good quality ones from Queenonline "if" they ever really put them up. Relax and rock. And roll. ;) Cheers, Ogre- |

Adam Baboolal 04.04.2005 12:56 |
Shame about the sound. Bit wishy washy, back and forth. Still, this is something great to finally have, eh!? They sound really good. Peace, Adam. |

Penetration_Guru 04.04.2005 13:23 |

Unbelieveably horrid recording. I've never heard so many off key singers all at once and no, not the band either. During Tie Your Mother Down, the recording sounds like it's twisted. Whoever recorded this, you might like to try turning down your recorder before putting it into your computer, it will save you, me and everyone else the over modulation that comes from having so many people so close to your microphone. When the audience is quiet, the actual music is okay to listen to. The band is great, it is again you have let it overmodulate. There is no fixing this, even with Sound Forge 6. Only the person who recorded it can fix this. One of the very first concerts I ever recorded was also sometimes overmodulating for a couple of reasons. One being the improper microphone which was a two head clip on stereo left - right microphone from Radio Shack. It did not work that great with a minidisc recorder. The other reason was that I left the minidisc recorder's volume up too high going into the computer which caused the overmodulations (the "bouncing" static sounds). If you are using a minidisc recorder, I highly suggest getting a battery operated electronic condenser microphone. My Sony cost me $100. USA. It's been wonderful ever since. From what I read of the current U2 shows, those who are recording are at least 10-20 feet from the band near the center and those around the recorder are highly protective of the person doing the recording. All three shows out now are totally awesome, Anaheim, California, April 1, 2005 being the absolute best - it sounds like direct from the sound board with 10's of thousands being heard without drowning out the band at all. I'm up to "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and at least this night, Paul Rodgers sounds quite great. No, he is no Freddie Mercury soundalike and is not supposed to, he is doing good justice to the songs - so far. Well, here's hoping something better comes along. WKMahler |

Well it still wont work for me. |
Lord Blackadder 04.04.2005 15:16 |
Oh bloody hell. All I had to do was press 'refresh' and it works. What a tit I am. But I tell ya what, it's going at some pace. |

It might have distorted because they didn't set the levels right at the time. Not just the idea that they didn't record into their computer correctly. Peace, Adam. EDIT: And the microphone is a perfectly good choice - I've heard many a great recording in thearchives.com. No need to bother poo-pooing that. |
