What do you think about No-one but you?
I think it´s a very great song. I love Brian´s voice. It´s one of new Queen songs after Freddie´s death and last song with John. What a pity Bri and Rog don´t sing this song on tour.
I think the song itself is over-emotional tripe. I don't find it moving at all. For moving, watch the 'Days of our Lives' video.
It was however nice to see John back again.
hello im from argentina.. the song i fantastic and very emotional ...its not very easy to sing it in a conert..bye saludos
GODS save the queen!!!

thing is iv heard it live, cant remember where it was, but iv heard an MP3 of Roger Taylor and Brian May performin it live, i think it was the last Freddie Merc Tribute, (correct me if im wrong)
It was played by Queen two times (not counting its inclusion on Brian's Another World 1998 tour):
1) At the Freddie Mercury Tribute 2001 concert at Oceans, London, UK
2) Amsterdam 2002 as mentioned above
If you guys would like, I can upload the whole Queen setlist from the Oceans 2001 gig (on MP3) for you all to download, since it's not commonly available atm.

Of course that "No-one but you" can't be compared to "These are the days of our lives". But it's still a very nice song. I love it. And I'm a proud owner of CD-single.

If I don't compare No One But You to another Queen song...it is an ok song, but taken on it's own merit it's quite moving, sad, meaningful...and the last couple of verses between Brian & Roger tear me up every time. I think Roger, even more than Brian almost sounds like he's trying to hold back his own tears when singing this. He sounds pretty shaken up when I listen to it.
But....for sheer BRILLIANCE as Queen's finest hour and their most exquisite, understated, plaintive, touching, emotional, sublime, bittersweet sentiment and elegiac reflection on the meaning of life and love...all you QueenZoners KNOW by now...that my favorite song and video is These Are The Days Of Our Lives.
I put on Flix 3 for the first time in years the other day.
I still stand by my opinion on NOBY... it just comes across as false, a bit tacky actually. Like I said, too over sentimental for me.
The DOOL video was still genuinley moving though. It surprised me how moving it was. Hadn't seen it in quite a few years. What a wonderful video and song to end it all on.
Am uploading the first 5 out of 6 tracks from the setlist in one zip file to RapidShare.
Will upload the last track (NOBY) after that zip file finishes uploading, which will take a while, as it's 23.3MB in size
I too am proud of my CD single of NOBY. It was too beautiful to see Queen release a new song when it came out. I love it. It is very emotional but also awfully energetic, as if the guys wanted to say: "We miss you like hell but you'll never actually leave us.". And I find it sounds very sincere. After all, all three loved Freddie so much so nothing would be over-emotional, I guess. I feel it does come from the heart.
I agree it's not one of Queen's best hits, but after all....it was Queen without Freddie so no wonder really...

Gee I’m totally really out of it! The intro I was referring to was of course not of NOBY. It was that of Brian’s Too Much Love Will Kill you. It just started playing in my head as I was writing my post on NOBY.
Am I going slightly mad? LOL!

No one but you is a great song full of thoughts and praise for those it was dedicated to beautiful lyrics and thank god brian didn't record it solo i don't think it would have had the same effect otherwise, and of course it will also be remembered as the last time bri,rog and john were in the studio together,i for one am glad it happened.
