Queen's last concert in Tokyo (11. V. 1985.) has been released on DVD "We are the champions - Final live in Japan", but it lacks one song - "Dragon attack".
Same concert is also released on a few different bootleg audio CD's. The one called "Final live in Japan" and one called "Nihon" also lacks "Dragon attack".
But there is a bootleg of that concert called "Absolutely perfect" which lacks 5-6 songs, but it DOES HAVE "Dragon attack".
Now, good people, does any of you have that bootleg or some other, containing "Dragon attack"? I really need that song played in Tokyo on May 11, 1985...
Thank you for reading this. :)

I do - 2 x LP - "Rock in Japan" - comes in gatefold sleeve with nice pic of Freddie that folds out - got it at a record fair in 1992 .
I can send it to you via post on a cdr or an audio tape if you want - or we could sort out a swap - the sound isn't that great though as is recored from LP to audio tape then transfered to cdr
Thank you... but I REALLY DON'T want to bother you that much. I like things to be simple...
I'll wait till some good soul tells me that he/she can send it (or put it on the web) in mp3 fomat...
If that never happens, I'll come back to you...
Till than - cheers! :)
Dear Sir GH!
Are you sure that THIS "Dragon attack" is from THAT concert? I have the rest of the Tokyo-11-V-85 concert, but when I try to put "Dragon attack" to its place (BETWEEN "crowd comunication" and "Now I'm here") - it doesn't seem to fit right. :(
Now I'm in panic - what if you think that this song is from that concert, and in fact it's not???
Tell me please - do you have it on some bootleg? Which one?
Maybe... you could send me tracks which are immediately before and after this one... maybe it will clear things...
Sorry - I KNOW I'm bothering you - but please... help me about this one, will you?
It is definitely from the same show...
It should fit pretty well... on the DVD, right when Freddie says "wonderful" after the Day-O with the audience, that's where the Dragon Attack intro comes in. And the song ends with Roger on the hi-hit, and Now I'm Here on the DVD starts at that exact point.
And no, you're not bothering me... I have no problem at all helping you out! And I'm glad I made you so happy... but the happiest moment of your life? There are better shows than this one. :)
Ok.
Thank you for your good will.
Now let's go step by step.
I have that concert on the bootleg called "Nihon". But it's not the same recording any more, because I repaired the sound quality and I cut the tracks differently. Now it's like 20 times better. One guy couldn't belive when he heard difference. I spend a whole week fixing the sound, because to me this is the great concert and I want to have it in its best and complete form. That's why I need "Dragon attack" so desperately. It's the only song from that concert which lacks on the shity "Nihon" bootleg.
I think the same as "Nihon" is also a bootleg called "Final live in Japan". But there are also bootlegs called "Absolutely perfect" and "Rock in Japan" - they both HAVE "Dragon attack". Do you have one of those bootlegs or some other???
Now, on my "Nihon" bootleg, that track finishes exactly with the word "Wonderful", just as you mentioned. But it seems to me that beginning of "Dragon attack" doesn't fit right immediately after "Wonderful". It looks to me - like that "intro" to "Dragon attack" is really the end of some song played before, like there's no pause in the playing between "that song" and "Dragon attack". Do you understand what I mean? And that is the FIRST confusing thing. (Of course, maybe this is not the case at all, and maybe "Dragon attack" really starts with that "intro").
BUT - there is also a SECOND confusing thing. "Dragon attack" wich you have give me ends with a few seconds of those hi-hats and crowd screams, which is really the beginning of the next song, "Now I'm here". And I have "Now I'm here" on my bootleg, from the very beginning of that song. And those hi-hats and screams shoud sound exactly the same, right? But they don't sound exactly the same. When I listened to it loud and carefully a few times, I've noticed several small diferences in those few seconds. And THAT scares me even more than my first doubt. It DOES sound ALMOST the same, but NOT TOTALLY the same.
I also have original DVD "We are the champions - Final live in Japan", I ordered it from Japan a few weeks ago, and I'm very happy to own it. But unfortunately, that DVD also lacks "Dragon attack", which is performed great on this Tokyo concert.
p.s. - "Happiest moment of my life" wasn't serious statement, but nevertheless, I was thrilled to finally get it.
Please - try to compare the begining of "Now I'm here" (which is really at the end of the "Dragon attack" track) from your audio recording - with the begining of "Now I'm here" on DVD. You'll hear the difference. (My bootleg ("Nihon") MATCHES with DVD, so I'm sure that "Nihon" IS that Tokyo concert.)
The easiest way to spot the difference is on the very beginning of "Now I'm here":
- on DVD (as well as on "Nihon") first you hear some hi-hats, and than ONE BASS DRUM THUMP, followed immediately by ANOTHER QUIET THUMP SOUND;
- but on YOUR AUDIO RECORDING, after the "Dragon attack", and after the first few hi-hats, and after the first bass drum thump - THERE IS NO THAT OTHER "QUIET THUMP" SOUND.
Ok, I know I'm already starting to irritate you all with all this, but please let's solve this mystery.
What do you think about this, Sir GH?
Anyone else?
Thank you.
