Did you notice these 2 strange big "flying saucers" we can see on the opening photo on queenpluspaulrdgers.com ?
Both sides of Roger, the one on the right above Brian is more noticeable.
I guess this is something we'll see on the light show of the tour.
What do you think ?
Couldn't find it there, but found reference under Queen News on Brian's site. As mentioned in second thread, my confusion has been caused by QOL saying "COMING SOON queenandpaulrodgers.com".
Now, back to the lights. :) I also believe (hope) this could be part of new light. When BBC interview was released the lights seen did remind me of Headlong video. But they probably did some good lights work for this tour. Brixton is tomorrow so expect updates around midnight.
I'm not sure if we should expect difference in stage lights between closed vanues and oper air gigs in July. I have feeling that greatest expectation is on Hype park concert in general. It could that concert (the biggest one?) will see some special lights too (or simply stage lights will differ a bit from open air concerts and those previous ones).

I'm not sure about the lights. I saw that picture too though.
According to Brian's website, the full light show won't be at tonight's gig....this is the only theatre like show on the tour. Paris will probably be the first fully blown light show IMHO as the venue is larger......7000 capacity.
I just checked pics by Sarah at link and from what I see lights are great. I believe they fit perfectly closed venues. I can only imagine what we will see when open air gigs will start. Very nice!
Were they by chance the type of "flying" lighting rigs Pink Floyd used to use? Those were the coolest things ever. They were suspended from tracks across the entire length of the stage, and went back and forth and up and down so they looked like UFOs flying around. Plus they were gigantic...half the time they barely cleared the band. I can't find the picture of the lights you're talking about though....
I was hoping Queen wouldn't forget that one of the cool things about their shows is seeing the latest in lighting technology :)
