At the risk of Lester thinking I've lost it, well let's see we've discussed Brian's hair, Brian's clogs...oh cut me some slack it's Easter..I'm bored and you KNOW you want to rag on this!
I mean what WAS John Deacon thinking?! Was he going for a 60's/70's "soulful" retro look, did he have not a bad hair day, but a bad hair period, did he forget to use a comb, did he backcomb his hair then blowdry it with mouse?
That hair...it's classic. How did he do it...
WHY DID HE DO IT?
Who knows. I find it quite amusing. Especially during Live Aid when he walks around and it bounces. And during the Radio Ga Ga video where they're in the car and it's blowing in the wind.

I will admit I find it extremely comical. No wonder he's bald now - all that perming and all those tight little curls spell disaster for a man's locks.
I'm not sure but i think he tried to re-grow his hair and as a result instead of growing straight and downwards it grew into an afro instead. Who knows?
I wonder what made him think it was a good idea to grow an afro, and why no one else told him that it most definitely wasn't his look! But then again, the afro (and his short-shorts) does provide for good entertainment. :)

If my eyes serve me correct, I believe the afro we all are referring to, is labeled as "The Deaky Do (in full bloom)".

Is he actually bald now ? I just thought he'd gone grey, but, well there's not many photo's of him now, that I see anyway ! Weird that I never knew about that. ;-D

I can't remember what page it was but if you look at ever page in the John pic gallery there's 2 pics of him now. In one he looks at least 70! Take a look. I'll try and find a link for you to the pic i mean.
