In the 'special thanks to' in Freddie's solo collection box set is John Deacon's name, so I curious if someone know what was his contribution to this project?
(Maybe this topic should be in General forum, I don't know, sorry if I posted in the wrong)
I could've sworn somebody posted a similar topic about this? I might be wrong, but I recall he was extremely modest and didn't reveal it - a sort of "kiss and don't tell" kind of thing.
EDIT: ah ha, I didn't see the "Deacon" part. Nevermind what I wrote - that'll teach me to take off my glasses!

? I actually didn't spell a single thing wrong in my post.
And yeah John, I'll have to get a coupon or something for Specksavers the next time I'm in the UK! :P
When I've finished to write this topic my first thought was "Someone would think that I'm asking about John S Stuart..." :-) No, Lester, this is about John Deacon
You can have him, he poops all over my rug and I don't like cleaning that up.
Er, sorry. To stay on topic - I'm really not sure what Deaky's contribution was. Maybe he was a silent (har har) investor?

He played on "How Can I Go On", but I'm not sure that this is the reason why his name is in 'special thanks to'... By the way, on 'Barcelona' album there is no thanks to him, just 'Bass on How Can I Go On by John Deacon'.
Probably a special thanks cos he was one of Freddie's 4 main collaborators for his whole life who helped him acheive the fame he longed for or something like that?
