Has anyone out there heard and like or dislike Brian's work with the Foo Fighters?
Pretty good stuff. He played on a couple tracks on The Foo Fighters' "One By One" album. "Tired Of You" was just ok I thought as a song, but Brian was good.
They also worked together on the song "Have A Cigar" for the film soundtrack of "Mission Impossible 2". I have NOT heard that one though. Is it any good?
Nothing special. Taylor Hawkins is an amazing drummer, not quite an amazing singer on this track. More of a raw scream. Brian's guitar is Brian doing what he's done a thousand times, which is very tasty but nothing new (not implying he never does nothing new by the way.)
i love the pink floyd song have a cigar but i think its a very good version n the foo fighters are also a very taented bamd with a good sense of humor in their videos
From what I hear Brian has collaborated MANY times with The Foo Fighters over the years.
Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins INDUCTED Queen into the USA Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, and Dave Grohl & Taylor Hawkins also wrote tributes to Queen in the CURRENT Q/Mojo Queen Classic Special Edition.
My crap computer downloads rapid share, and the song file comes up ok, and the windows media page comes up...but it won't connect and is giving me an error page. &^%$$()_) I am Ticked Off!!!!

Here's a cool video interview with The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins discussing their working with Brian! and how much they love Brian & Queen! link
I LOVE the Foo Fighters, so certainly I've tracked down every performance Brian ever did with them. Pleased to see a few of my favorite gentlemen jamming together from time to time.
Their version of "Have a Cigar" is very nice, though I wouldn't call it one of my favorites. "Tired of You" is great, and I have several live performances as well, if anyone's interested.
