Has anyone recieved there Brixton tickets via special delivery.I ask this question again because tghe gigs drawing near and ticketweb assure me that they dispatched then a while ago.So if others have recieved theres, then ill have to go along to the office and inquire.
Thanx
Lots of people received them a week ago, I'd give ticketweb a call, you've only got a few days left with the bank holiday.
08700600100
08707712000
are both ticket web numbers.
I got an e-mail last week saying that because I am not a UK resident (I live in Dublin) I will have to pick the ticket from the Box Office on the day of the event. Are you based in the UK?
Here's what they answered today:
"Response (MIKE FIRTH) - 03/21/2005 04:32 PM
Dear Silvia,
Thank you for your email.
I have checked your booking and your tickets have been despatched by Special Delivery.
If you haven't received them please ask at your local sorting office to see if they have been taken there. In order to collect tickets from there you will need to take some form of identification along with proof of address and ask if they have an item being held for you".
But they don't tell WHEN they despatched them...
Do you think they really despatched them??
Do you think they really checked??? because I bought just ONE ticket...
If I don't receive it, I guess I could not collect it at the gig...
I'm from Italy.
Yes, you can. Ask your post office as they recommended and if nothing arrived, email them again. Insist that you get a detailed information about the whereabout of your ticket. They have to provide for a ticket, you have a legal contract.
I still have not ticket either, though they say they have been sent. They told me that if they have not arrived when we leave for London, to give them a call and I can pick them up at the venue anyway.
(I do want my 14 pounds (!!) special delivery payment back though! ;-)
Forget the 14 pounds, Jeroen. They say it's a booking fee and not postage. I had the same situation: I had 2 emails, one saying the tickets had been dispatched, the next one telling me I should pick up the tickets at the venue - which is okay for me but when I bought there was no pick up option available.
I'll bring my confirmation mumber from ticketweb, all emails and my credit card :) I also have conflicting information when the tickets can be collected, either at 5 PM or at 7 when the doors open.
Yeah, same here Barb,
I've printed out EVERY e-mail I got from those people, I'll bring everything related to the show whatsoever, and I'll be sitting in front of the Academy at 3!
They dispatch the tickets via Special Delivery, but do not apparently keep a record of the individual tracking numbers for each set of tickets - hence the reason why they ask you to deal with the sorting office yourself.
In terms of customer service, it's absolutely SHOCKING, but then againm, you always know what to expect when booking concert tickets right from the start, so, unless you're able to actually GO AND GET THE TICKETS YOURSELF, you're at the mercy of idiots, liars and bastards.
Gone are the days of queueing outside a venue as the only method of buying tickets.... Just as the days are gone where the Fan Club served and real purpose......
I've always been a little leary of tickets arriving by mail ever since some postal worker saw the Stones on me. Fortunately Ticketmaster replaced the tickets at the stadium, but it was a friggin' hassle.
yeah I booked 2 sets of 2 tickets each for the Belfast gig.
One set arrived last week and the other is in outer space somewhere.
I think you naturally go worst case scenario when you're depending on tickets for such an important gig.
