QOL: " QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS LIVE TOUR DOWNLOADS After each show on the forthcoming tourvthe band will be making live tracks available for download exclusively on link. You can burn these tracks onto a special packaged blank Q+PR CD that is available to buy in the site online store. The idea is that once you have purchased the disc you can then burn the live tracks to it and create your own Queen + Paul Rodgers live album! All profits after production go to The Mercury Phoenix Trust –‘Fighting Aids Worldwide’. link Click here for more on the Queen + Paul Rodgers Live Downloads. " Good news! I hope they'll make every song from every show available:) |

I've seen this...excellent news. I hope they release every song from every concert as well!! One thing though, if you don't buy the Queen + PR CD are the songs still available? I've got enough CD's to burn many shows. The maximum amount of time for each CD is around 73 minutes I beleive...not enough for even one gig!! (150 minutes each show....not even 2 is enough unless it's edited). Think I'll wait until early next week so see if Farncourt set list is available for download before I commit! |

I think you won't have to buy the Q+PR CDRs (€7,50 for an empty CD:S) to download the songs. I hope 7 Digital accepts PayPal, does anyone know? |

When all profits go to MPT we should not criticise the project, right? I think it's useless to get only a few songs from each concert. If I only get selected few songs I rather go for the bootleg. I donate enough money and I don't need some Itune rubbish to do my bit. Not to mention the ridiculously expensive blank CD. Again a basically good idea is ruined before even starting. Why in all the world is it so hard to release a decent soundboard Audio CD from each concert? Other artists can do it and it would be the only way to make bootlegs redundant. They can still donate their profit if they want. |

We need to get ppl to bootleg all the shows, I have a feeling that is gonna be the only way we will ever be able to hear them. |

The scheme sounds half-arsed... which seems typical of Queen Production these days. |
Penetration_Guru 23.03.2005 15:58 |
Compare with... link as far as I can tell, every show from last tour... |
Hitman 24.03.2005 14:14 |
Even a famous italian band (elio e le storie tese) releases the whole live concert on cd 10 minutes later the end of the concert for 10Eur each cd, completed with jewel case and booklet (there are three different setlists of concerts)...they can burn 50 cds at once and you get it without caring for bootlegs cos the quality is excellent!!!!!! so Queen Production....get a life and learn from smaller bands...you can make (and donate) lots of money in this way! |
FairyKing 25.03.2005 04:40 |
hitman, stavo per dirlo io! Yep, hitman's right, that was a great great idea |
deleted user 25.03.2005 14:32 |
Or.. they could take a hint from Jam Bands and just allow tapers at the gigs. That would certainly solve all bootleg problems. Who will pay for a bootleg when 12 other tapers were at the same gig and are offering for free? |
hcrvelin 25.03.2005 14:53 |
If it is good and I like it I will be the first one to pay. If I don't like it I won't have it at all. That's how it goes in my world. |
Tero 25.03.2005 16:18 |
Does anyone want to guess how many songs are released before the project is abandoned? :I I have no intention of buying any downloads from QP, even if they would release complete concerts... Give me a factory pressed soundboard recording with a proper booklet from the concert of my choice, and I'm ready to part with my hard earned money. Otherwise you can forget it! |

Is this a way for Q+PR to make even more money? Just think - Fans now do their own CD pressing. No more pressing plant charges!!! Having said that... I've ordered one! |

The songs will be made available (most probably)at link . 7Digital (the QOL download shop provider) is likely to host this download shop as well. I mailed 7Digital about PayPal. They replied they only accept credit cards, no PayPal:'( |

QOL: The first set of downloads will come from the Paris date at the Zenith on Wednesday March 30th. The downloads will be up on QOL approx 48 hours after each show. Why Paris?!? |

i thought it wud of been a gud idea to use Brixton, the Tour opener as a gud start for downloads! cos usually the first and last venue are the best! and is wot everyone sayin true? no one will buy the downloads off Queenonline and wud rather go for bootlegs, or get it free? go the illegal way? cos im sure as hell am takin a video cam and filmin the thing, if they say no, i say fuck u you arse rapin butt monkey! cant stop me! |
Penetration_Guru 29.03.2005 14:14 |

Guru - are you trying to get his head kicked in for him by some gorilla of a bouncer ? ( still it's everyone's dream to be able to do something like that and get away with it ! ) |

Has anybody actually ordered the CDs for this from Queenonline yet. If so, have you received them and what do they look like, in terms of cover art etc. I guess they will be similar to the Tour logo. It would be nice to find out how much of each concert is going to be available for download. This way we can determine if we need 1 or more CDs. As usual we get teased with a little info but not told the important details. As I was at Brixton on Monday it would have been nice to have some tracks from that concert, unless of course they are saving Brixton for a future DVD. |
[ Wybren™ ] 02.04.2005 07:12 |
I think we waited the approx 48 hours after Paris, so where are the downloads?!? Any info?
Btw the artwork is available.
QOL:we will hopefully soon have a couple of selected tracks to download. Keep checking the news.Of course not the complete concerts only some 'selected songs':'( |
hcrvelin 19.04.2005 08:37 |
After downloading all 22 tracks available at this moment from Q+PR site the total duration so far is 1:49:25. Now, that's 2 CDs. There are more 16 "concerts to be released" (without June/July gigs) which means probably 32 more songs (remember no Milano so we may skip some here too). I really doubt that it makes sense to have more than 2 copies of the same song unless they are really different in something crucial. So, I would expect either to have more new songs meaning change in setlist. This also makes me wonder how many CDs one will need at the end?!? If in total that would 54 songs, right? Sooo, is that 4-5 CDs? Will these downloads cover July gigs too? Help :) |
Penetration_Guru 19.04.2005 17:07 |
You don't HAVE to buy the CDs. The downloaded tracks can be burnt to memorex, tdk, sony or any other brand of CDR. |
hcrvelin 21.04.2005 18:26 |
The question here is not shall you buy CD from QOL or use some of your own (missing pics and booklet that comes with) but rather how many CDs at the end one will need :). So far I expect 5. However, if they will release July gigs that could mean that official CDs won't be released until after those shows (to include that material to booklet) and that total number of needed CDs (original or your own) will increase to 6. |
hcrvelin 21.04.2005 18:30 |
Not sure if anyone noticed this, but last two downloads (from Frankfurt shows) have information that they are not coming from album called "Europe Live" but rather "q3". Bug or feature? :) |
DragonOnMyBack 22.04.2005 07:31 |
Just noticed an update one the queen shop web page (not sure how long it has been there) but is says that orders of the Europe Live CD's will start to be dispatched from 22nd April - which is today. So if you have ordered any they should be with you soon. I have ordered 1 for now and will see what they are like before deciding whether of not to order anymore or just use normal CDRs. |

There are new downloads available: 'Hammer To Fall' and 'A Kind Of Magic' from Antwerp. |
DragonOnMyBack 27.04.2005 08:59 |
Also now available : Hammer To Fall (Dortmund) Seagull (Barcelona) Thought we had seen the last of Seagull on the Tour and therfore missed the chance to get an official download. No sign of anything from Budapest at the moment despite them releasing tracks from Dortmund. Hopefully they are not going to miss that concert out like Milan and Brixton previously. |

They Should just put one full concert on here to download and it sould just be a fiver like the bootlegs and it wont have gaps between the songs |

matthew poulter wrote: They Should just put one full concert on here to download and it sould just be a fiver like the bootlegs and it wont have gaps between the songsThe idea of downloads is rather nice one and I believe it is mainly interesting to the fans (at least if you plan to download all of them). Whole gig will probably be released as DVD/CD from one of the shows (unknown which one at this moment). It is also possible that Live Europe DVD will feature different nights (different from Live Downloads), but I doubt this will happen as no one noticed professional video equipment on all these gigs so far. I will update my previous downloads review thread this Sunday to those who are interested about new downloads and they compare to previous ones. |

cool, a free Bo Rhap! but still, the fact they didnt record any irish gigs, (no i wasnt there) and the fact they managed to pull recordings from the worst gig on the tour, it doesnt make sense! |
