I think YourValentine once wrote about a program that I am looking for now...
I have a few CD's in my CD collection that use copy-protection data, a.k.a. making the disc damaged per say, which makes nasty glitch sounds on the files I try and rip from these CD's.
Are there any programs that will LET you rip these CD's (which aren't really part of the CD standard) without incurring these glitches in the sound??
I tried Googling but found no good results...

I don't know, but I was told that if you hold "SHIFT" while copying, it works for some CDs
Yeah...just play the disc in your PC and record the sound to a wave file. Then convert the wave to an mp3 or ogg or whatever you want.
You can buy a little cable to take your sound card's output to it's input to do this. A lot of sound cards will let you just record "what you hear" too, so you don't even need a cable.
From all the CDs I have only one of them has a copyright protection, and that was the Pet Shop Boys 'Pop/Art' singles collection.
I was pissed off becuase I wanted to put some of the songs on my ipod but I couldn't do anything
I did what Farlander mentioned, I recorded song by song on a sound editor. It was a bit annoying because I had to let every single song play.
I'm looking for that German CD ripper that YourValentine described once, which apparently lets you rip from these CD's.
Cos again, when I DO try to rip from copy-protected CD's, there are glitches that appear in the same spots EVERY time I play them, no matter which method I use.
Strangely enough, I don't have a problem with Japanese CD's that use the "Copy Control CD" protection method. They play fine when ripped.
It's the fucking European and American CD's I have problems with.
