They didn't sell out because of stupid lottery.
Funny- I went personally to BOX OFFICE and was told... tickets are not avaliable for general audience. After my explenation she called ticketweb and... I got tickets!!! THEY didn't even know they're selling them in general sale! It will be funny if half of Brixton Academy will be empty!!!
Just think, it will be a VERY exclusive show for just a couple of us :-) The lowest attendance on a Queen concert since 1973 (not counting Benidorm :-)
Well, Benidorm was overbooked, wasn't it? 60 tickets for no show is not a bad sales record :)
The general sale now is all venue pick up, which is not good for ebay sellers. Maybe we wiill really find a half empty place and Brian will invite us all into his house after the gig.
Imagine 1000 people AND some extremely rare performances of some completely unexpected songs... Now that would be a dream come true...! They mentioned HANGMAN so many times in interviews. Would be really surprised (but pleased) if they played sth like THAT!!!
PS
Imagine Brian's face the moment he sees half of Brixton empty!!! He would be so pissed off!!! Especially knowing that was a huge demand and... I wonder if he's aware of what a disaster this lottery was...
just got this email from Ticketmaster so all the touts will be aware now...
Queen plus Paul Rodgers at Carling Academy Brixton
Location: Carling Academy Brixton
Dates: 28 March
Prior to a sold out arena tour this spring and a massive Hyde Park show in July, rock icons Brian May and Roger Taylor will be joined by the legendary Paul Rodgers for an exclusive club show at the Carling Academy Brixton, London, tickets for which were previously only available to fan club members. This is the hottest Rock ticket of 2005 so don't miss out on the chance to get one for yourself!
Brian May and Roger Taylor performed with Paul Rodgers in public for the first time together last November - bringing the house to its feet at the televised first annual UK Hall of Fame awards in London, with blistering versions of We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, and the finale, All Right Now.
